ok, so last night i went to camp mystic with a lvl 75 blm friend of mine, as we soon found out, stun is no match for voke XD. anyways, a JP war gets him and soon after the battle says DROP. i was happy he would be gone. 2 hrs later my rdm friend sends me a tell saying she just got the drop! thats 2 in a row!
i had decided that i would not lvl my blm to 47 until i had this earring. so me and a rdm buddy of mine went out to see if we could find him. well we get to onozo to find there is only 1 other camper. being a lvl 46blm, i had sneak/invis at all times. he was off fighting dinosaur looking things when none other than Mysticmaker himself pops right on my head! i got the claim with a quick stun. a min later or so mystic casts a mean aeroga III and puts me out >< my rdm buddy proceeded to beat the hell out of mystic and luckily had subbed NIN and had a shadow left when he casted freeze. th battle lasted over 5 min due to a 3 gob link long story long, we got the Moldavite earring and thunder III since he has one already he passed to me! now i can lvl my BLM again!!! (also that is 3 drops in the last 3 kills that i know of)

Went to lab today to camp this guy and find about 7-8 people camping him already. I was there for no more than 10 minutes. Since it didnt look good I was about to leave but then mystickmaker popped almost right next to me. I quickly poison II'd him and got claim. Luckily I had buffs already up because he slept me then started using AM. Stoneskin got taken down and i took approx 200damage. After that point the fight was really easy. Just kept phalanx and stoneskin up at all times. Manafront was no big deal either. The only trouble I ran into was a cockatrice aggroing me. Of course no one took it off me, not even this person I knew from a while back and her LS. Basterds, but I can't blame them. To make a long story short, all I got was Goblin Mask, Armor, and Thunder IV. Slept the cockatrice and got out of there. I went as RDM61/THF30.

Am now 1/3 on him. Thanks to lvl 71thf and 70mnk LS mates. Also got Burst. TH2 is the difference between agony and bliss.

Myself (63 pld/nin)and friend (62 rdm/blm) just got 3 straight claims on this guy, but no drop ><
The competition wasnt too bad... first time when we didn't have any idea of ToD and waited around a few hours till people started signing on and moving was the worst... I think 4- 2 were a PT I believe. I went around tonko'd(room is EP) with flash at the ready and got the grab. Partway throught the battle a hunter linked, and another camper was cool enough to grab it, very classy.
2nd time was much easier, only a 2 person PT and someone soloing, none of them knew time of death, and the RDM grabbed it. We then went off and did the moogle quest... got back and it spawned shortly thereafter to a clear room.
The mob is pretty easy, I think either myself or RDM could solo no prob by using shadows to eat his ancient magic. The only danger is links if the other gobs aren't dead, or random cockatrice aggro . I know our good luck on claims is going to end >< I wish that thing would drop.

This mob is heavily camped, I suggest you to go with ur linkshell. More you are, more chance u have to claim it. We were in an alliance of 9 and got 2 in 4 hrs. I camped this before for about 10 hrs so it make my count to 14 hrs for 2 drops. The key is not giving up. Good luck !
Camped this bad boy today for my earring. I was there with a 64 rdm friend of mine, i went as a 63 drk. We were camping against a group of mages, 1 blm, 1 rdm, 1 whm. abuot 30 mins of killed place holders the blm had to go i guess and he warped, leaving it 2 v 2 to get the claim.
About 10 mins after the blm (he was lvl 68ish) left, the whm (over lvl 70) decided to leave, and all that was left was the rdm ( lvl 50ish ). Now the funny part was just as the whm warped out, Mystic pops. I get claim and I let my friend, the rdm/war, start attacking and voking so he can keep hate as i start attacking. about 3/4 hp left on him and i engage. 1/2 hp he uses Manafront and i disengage and let the rdm tank it himself since he will survive any AM casted on him. anyways we killed him and he droped =D.
He used Burst during the fight so make sure if u plan on killing him that u have something to absord the dmg or ur gonna be in a world of hurt.

We kill some Air Elementals on the way in but other then that just start killing place holders. 10 minutes in. Pop, Claim, Kill, Drop, Lot! The other BLM got it so I sucked it up and {Congratulations}. I also recorded the Time of death and knew from camping it before it's a 2 hr 5 minute spawn.
Later we returned with me, a 60 DRK, and a 70 THF. Like clock work it spawned again in 2hrs and 5 minutes. Spawn, claim! **************** from link. I try to sleep it but no go it keeps interrupting. Our DRK says ***** it and lays down 25% damage on the NM before dying. The THF finally kills it and then kills the **** that aggroed me. Drop! The DRK HPs, the THF passes, I get it and then I HP. W00t! Awasome night.

Finally got the earring off this mob. Was camping him for about 4 days, with about 1-2 pops a day I would fight him. Got claim most of the time, didn't get any earring, but I did get Burst, sold it, then got it again another time. So overall I could have made 125k+ just camping this NM for a few days, which didn't make it a total fustration.
I asked my friend 54 DRG, and my other friend 49 WHM to come help me camp it this time, in case there was any competition, I also told the DRG to sub THF for just a TH1. We got to the place, about 2 hrs after the last time I killed it, and there was a 70 RDM hanging around, I think he noticed we were a 3 person party and figured he didn't have a chance, or was just seeing if he could get it. I didn't check him.
So it pops, and my WHM friend flashes it and gets claim, we had no problem taking it out, except it's bomb tosses were dealing some major damage to both the Dragoon and the White Mage, but luckily no one died, we defeated the NM, and long and behold, it dropped a Goblin Mask, Goblin Armor, Thunder IV scroll and Moldavite Earring ^^. I was shocked that I finally got it as soon as I had some friends, and one with TH to help me out. Very ironic and awesome at the same time.
If any of you plan to solo this, make sure you are 60 or slightly above. I am a level 70 RDM and I can take him without breaking a sweat. I don't even clear the other goblins, and I can have multiple links on me and not have much trouble. I definitely recommend having some Treasure Hunter for this, at least TH1. When I didn't have it I never got the earring, first time with TH, I got it.

I camped him last night and got the claim. I was so tired that I didn't notice that he was casting freeze. I poison 2 for the claim and then silence, but it was resisted. Ten seconds later I am dead. Freeze for 995 and my total HP is 965. Fight lasted all of 20 seconds. I am a horrible NM killer, I didn't have Phanlnx, Blink or Stoneskin up. I deserved to die. Anyway someone else took him, killed him and no drop. Lessons to be learned, use your buffs (duh!) and go to bed when you are exhausted.
I recently soloed this NM as a 65DRK/THF while camping him for the earring (I also play a 56BLM).
It really wasn't my choice to solo him, but he popped while my partner was enjoying an extended AFK, and I had to claim it to prevent others from grabbing him.
It really wasn't that hard of a battle, I was still at near full HP at the conclusion.
Some notes for other DRKs:
I believe he is immune to both stun and silence, read the 74BLM's account for further verification. I only used stun to claim him and the silence add from Guillotine didn't stick.
As to WS, Guillotine took a good chunk of his HP away each time (I'd guess 1/5th or 1/6th), I didn't bother with Cross Reaper. I was holding a Souleater + Guillotine in reserve towards the back half of the fight, but I never needed to use it.
I used Blood Weapon, but I didn't need to and I ended up near full HP as a result. However, since the NM is a 2 to 2.5 hour repop, there really wasn't any reason NOT to use my 2hr.
About the only spells I bothered to drop on him were Bio2 and Drain/Aspir because the battle was going so favorably for me. On reflection, Absorb-INT may have been fine too because I did eat around 300 damage from a Thunder3 spell.
Basically, my plan for his AM was to Disengage, toss stun or poison on him (to keep claim), and then flee out of range, but I never needed to because he wasted his Manafont on junk spells like blind, blaze spikes, poison2, etc. If I got an add because of my flee, sleep bolt and then sleep2 if needed on the add (nothing was aggroing alone in the area at 65).
I am 2/3 on the drop on this NM with THF subbed. The first time we killed it, I gave it to my partner; on my solo kill, I got my own. :)

When I soloed him, I tried saved TP and used Flat Blade on him when he started casting Freeze. 300% and nothing. Stoneskin absorbed Freeze, so it was okay.
Actually I have slept him with sleepga2 at lvl 72 blm. Tried at 69 with ES+Sleep but was resisted.

A friend asked me to help him out camping Mysticmaker Profblix, because he wanted the earring. So I agree to go. We go as 75 PLD, 67 THF (me), and a 54 SMN (my friend). Maybe 30 minutes pass by and a 75 BLM joins us. Behold! All corners of the room is camped by the four of us! (/pysch) Almost two more hours pass (I think). Some members started saying that in maybe 5-20 more minutes, he'd spawn. We're all nervous. A RDM 75 and RDM 56 showed up. /shiver. We're ready! Then...

Yep. We went for Mysticmaker Profblix on April 8th. That dreaded day of server shut downs. Luckily Ragnarok was able to come back from a partial shut down! PLD 75 logs back in! He waits. I come back! We wait. SMN 54 comes back! the 75 BLM doesn't return and instead a 64 BRD joins us. About 10 minutes, we're worried that the NM timer was reset. We're about ready to leave. Then in the corner... OK, So I have this BLm frined(lvl58) that despirately wants this earring(wouldn't mind having it myself). He went as far as hiring a SAM to solo it to no avail. A waste of 70k 8(.
I am lvl60 now with my RDM and I offered to help him get it hoping that 10lvls would be enough to at least try to survive an encounter with this bugger. I plan on going as RDM/NIN...I am really liking this combo for solo work and NM hunting. We will prolly bring along another DD, DRK more than likely lvl 58-59.
With this type of setup I am hoping that we will prevail nicely in regard to me being kept alive by me BLM friend while I stoneskin/phalanx/blink~~~Utsustemi when blink wears, enhance me swords, shock spikes, and hast...rinse and repeat when neccesary. Drk obviously just let loose on it. For those of u that have history with this little thing, your imput would do nicely. Do you think that my combo and setup would do well. BLM subbing WHM and DRK subbing THF.
We will be trying this out tomorrow so your input will be greatly appreciated.^^

I'm very angry at this NM right now, I've camped him for 12 pops; gotten claim 6 times with no earring drop. Everyone else I talk to says they got theirs on their first or second kill....so yes you can get lucky, but you can also get royally screwed ><

Well so far ive been camping him for more than a month and getting help is painful to sit there for 2hrs. Also u keep getting lvl 70's all time time camping it competeing for drop its nutz. my luck is 1/8 3 time i lost the mob to others, 2 times i got owned, and other times just bad luck. that 1 time i got it i gave to a friend who also wanted it. The main problem is links they aggro a lot at lvl 60 and its a pain. The thing thats really bad is that if theres other camping and they see u got mob they dont help u if u get links, nice people (not!)... Well its been tough im still trying at it hopefully ill get the earring soon just keep waiting on that lucky pop.

I log on next day, and Have Tunderga III, cokratice meat and skill,Gob armor and mask, no Earring. get a tell that he loged on for me and cammped him twice with another guy, high level THF,(thanks Dasnack). LS buddy,(Oppie) says we are gonna all three go again. so we head over, as they kept track of the spawn time. it must have been adjusted, because its exactly 1hr and 15 minutes each time, not 2 hrs as many posters who have done it already have said. the guide on the Earring site here is accurate, spawned exactly where the guide said, next to the second set of columns in the second room, in between the colums and the opening to another area.
Unfortunatly i am so excited we are there with no comp, that i keep getting arrgod by Cockatrice, and THF has to kill em. Oppie and i are both 50, if i forgot to say that, lol.
we did get a high level RDM camping to, but we got him first. i make my way over to the fight as Oppie had arrgo, cast a few debuffs and get arrgod again! wasnt my night. anyway, i kissed dirt, and they finished NM off, and low and behold, "You Find a Moldavite Earring come accross. WOOT! also got Burst, gil and Gob stuff. so, 3/3 camping, 1/3 for drop, all same day.
only bad thing is I deleveld after getting raised by the RDM that was camping him to, but only lost 800 exp, but we were gonna do LB1 right after. /boo.
we let Dasnack have Burst and other drops from last fight. Take a high level THF with you. i really think SE adjusted the spawn time, and probably the drop rate after last update.

2/2 on this ho. Helping friends both times, I went as a THF56/NIN - First time it was just me and a RDM68, nobody there, no claiming hassles
Second time it was me, BLM68, BRD75, and another THF57. THere was about 20-30 other people in the room, our BLM nabbed it with Stun
Our BRD was tanking for some reason, and got wiped with a Tornado after it used Manafont, so then I tanked and it was barely landing any hits with my Evasion and Utsusemi. Halfway through I changed into my Silk Panties and used my H2H Skill up Coerul Cesti. FUn stuff, got earing both times.
Second time it was me, BLM68, BRD75, and another THF57. THere was about 20-30 other people in the room, our BLM nabbed it with Stun
Our BRD was tanking for some reason, and got wiped with a Tornado after it used Manafont, so then I tanked and it was barely landing any hits with my Evasion and Utsusemi. Halfway through I changed into my Silk Panties and used my H2H Skill up Coerul Cesti. FUn stuff, got earing both times.

what is <pos> of spawn~?
after you go in, stay to the right as far right as you can be. he spawns in the 2nd room you come to.
So I was camping him with some help. All of the sudden a WHOLE high level linkshell comes... 10 minutes later it spawns and gets claimed by the ls. I hate my luck.

Edit: FINALLY!!! after 12 spawns I got the earring.

im a good nm camper and i solo this with my 65 war/nin blinked tornado it has bad accuracy so i could recast ez didnt wear haub -20 eva not the best but got drop first try my blm friend was like .. ...... woot lol it spawns in one area really so GL

Easy fight, hard to claim, I do not like this guy.
I was able to solo him months ago. as a lvl 54!THF/NIN. Was no problem. Did it for a NIN friend who was 0/12 on him. Well he was in PT of course but was afk when it poped. So I did it solo. So for all you mages out there that need it. bring a THF/NIN friend.

LMAO this was the easiest camp i have ever done finally something lucky for me out of the game ^^
i have needed this earring for quite some time... (62 blm at the time i got it ><) so i ask a few ls buddies to help me get it, a 62 smn and a 57ish thief... sorry dim i forgot and you were anon >< so we head over to ToU we get to the spawn area and all i see is a higher level rdm and an invisible person. well i know the invisible person is more than likely a camper so i figure i am up against one maybe two others. on a side note before entering any area i always set my macro on the stun set for a quick hit if i need it. so we are standing in basically the middle of the room when i see a ver long name pop behind a rock..... i spam stun (unable to cast cant see <t>) OMG i just messed this up sooooo bad its not funny >< well i run to the side a bit and try again firguring the rdm is about to claim it >< i get it!!!!!! so we are start fighting i have read the posts here so i said ***** enfeebling and just nuked away... well that kind of put a hurting on us when he cast a -ga spell it ate all of the thief's shadow's and put him at about 1/4-1/2 health.. so i spank out ole DS curaga II which thurned out really really well cause i took hate while spamming fire, water and stone III as well as blizzard and thunder II the thief is setting up for a sata off the smn, well we kill it and i see the greatest thing ever... you find a moldavite earring on <t> ^^ yay finally i got it. i know its not that great of a story but i thought it was a fun time and thought i would share it ^^ and to the others who have yet yo get it.... keep plugging away ^^ you will get yours one day too.
