I think SE must have removed these dogs because I can't find them anywhere.
I've checked all over Gustaberg north and south, on Vomp and Zegham hill and they aren't spawning at night (24:00 - 4:00)
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!
If anybody is on Asura server and knows where they are please help me!!! :)

Despite the clue, Black Wolf does appear in more than one place. I've found him both on Zegham Hill in North Gustaberg and Vomp Hill in South Gustaberg. That dog collar is a little stubborn about dropping, though. I finally gave up and bought one for 2k on the AH.

I need the collar for the map.
They sell for 20k in Bastok.
I bought it before for only 1k.
And sold it in Jueno for 1k.
Now I wish I didn't do that..
Because I cant find the wolf

I kill this guy at steady rate. For some reason people keep buying the dog collar he drops. I know it is needed to obtain a map to Gusgen Mines, but c'mon, how many more ppl need a map? They sell so much in fact they go for 3k at Bastok AH on my server. Perhaps you can desynth them IDK.
He spawns between a little north of the outpost, and the bridge by Drachenfall. If your lucky, you can kill him twice in one night. Because he will spawn once in southern section of the map, and if he gets killed fast enough, he will respawn in the northern section.
I've killed him countless times everyime I'm traveling through Gustaburg at night. I've gotten the collar probably 1 out of every 3 kills on average. If ppl keep buying em, I'll keep killing him =)

The wolves spawn in N.Gustaberg between the outpost and the bridge, they only spawn at night as well so dont waste your time looking for them before 20:00
This also dropped a revival tree root.

they drop a dog collar need for a quest in Bastok Port. It isnt that good of wearable collar though.
it makes for a pretty good joke gift ^_^;;
