Im a 69 monk on Odin and i currently use shivas claws. After going out and leveling in bone parties with other monks i just have to comment on these weapons. The high delay on these cesti is very apparent. To make up for low damage i use two str rings, and given the fact that im elvaan having the highest str in class Shivas claws low damage does not sacrafice much in this area for me. The acc bonus on the claws is SICK! These were made for elvaan monks. Not too mention they were free, and with haste I hit two times faster than a monk using sparten cesti. Ive always felt its better to be smart than rich. well thats it!
these's are gods hands in the making i mean till ya get the other one's that have +23 dmg and other plus stats, but still these are hard to get for all i know
I think Cerberus just might be the most expensive server. >< lol Ochiudo's Kote are 600k+ and these Cesti are about 900k.
800k for kote and 1.4 million for spartans on kujata...

A fellow MNK friend of mine was telling why Spartan Cesti are great. I told him i disliked the delay time. He sed that at lv. 60 or 61 there is supposed to be a Martial Arts III wich basicly makes that huge Delay non aparent. This is also the reason why lots of MNK like these cesti for xp pt. I check the Abilities section of the MNK job to confirm. But it seems its not there. But then again... it coulda been eronius. Im currently timing my atk's with a stop watch on my current weapons (Bone Patas +1 Delay +78). By the time i hit 61 i will buy myself a pair of Spartans (450k on Carbuncle) and see if it comes close or surpasses my old H2H Weps. IM a MNK58 right now so ill know soon.
This is a really strong Cestus weapon. The +20 to damage means you can deliver strong hits, but the +113 delay means there will be a large amount of time between attacks - similar to Dual-Wielding Axes.

i think these have amongst the highest damage available, high delay too but you also get some ACC, i asked a monk about where he got them cause i want them myself (in 6 levels) i think it sounded like he said BCNM60 Giddeus but im not sure if he meant it dropped from there or if he was going there cause he left in a hurry and sent this tell afterwards, gotta ask someone else but no-one understands me (>_<)

yep, they are a bcnm60 giddeus drop. or you can pay 600k (ifrit) for them

Saw a Lvl 75/37 MNK/WAR using a pair of these... but they have high delay and no special benefits... i guess the raw damage makes up for that?

Is this the most powerful hand-to-hand weapon out there for now?

Maybe for now... 58-69 or so, but Avengers would outdamage these, and Indras are pretty kickass as well.. Spharai though, +23DMG is the best weapon.
