well, I don't play a mithra, not since I deleted my mule "Imwithstupid", but a thought occurred to me, with this item, and its mithran hidden effect - the hidden effect only kicks in if you're mithra and not under the influence of food, so it's prolly a pretty useful piece for Mithra NINs fighting Colibri in Lahg Urhgan areas since there's no sense in using food against their Snatch Morsel ability. Then again, there's prolly something better. I dunno, don't really care, just thought I'd throw that hypothesis out there.
I've done my own tests with this item compared to a lifebelt, and have found (having a few others use it as well) that the hidden effect only works for mithra. Consistantly did higher DE damage with it on, more hits, also evaded more often (+0 diff to a +13 diff is a large jump). Other than that, I have heard that when you eat food it goes back to a +3 acc and evasion stat. I haven't messed around with this much so I wouldn't know, that's a test for later.
siren the thing is now worth 30-40k i bought 3 for 1k back when they were rerally cheap, idk why, but, wooohoooo so happy i did now sold 2 for 40k and 1 for 35k!!
500g to 1K, depending on the AH. It's basically junk. Want evasion, wear the Survival Belt. Want accuracy, wear the Life Belt. Both are substantially lower-level items than this, as well.
Zone: M & P's Market (Kazham) NPC: Gatih Mijurabi Start: you must finish Gubllible's Travels quest in Kazham Walkthrough 1. Korroloka Tunnel : Jammer Leech(NM)*3 is beaten. 2. It goes into a hot spring for 5 minutes. Reward : Mithran Stone
Do you really need to beat the jammer leeches? I read one strat for this quest was to zone the leeches if you didn't have high level help to kill them. Then you go back to stand under the falls while the leeches take forever to walk back.
Normally that would work if it weren't for the fact that you can't zone things the way you used to. Now when you zone something, it will disappear immediately and reappear right where you got it. So that strategy won't work anymore.
