On Valefor these things are 300k. Very very overpriced considering it only takes 150k gil just to craft them. But lord knows finding a crafter who isn't an ******* isn't easy.

How dare a crafter want to make gill just because he put alot of time and gill in raising that craft! PRICK!
Added guild, guild level, desynthesis recipe, and GP info. Updated the skill caps so that only Goldsmithing was 97 and changed crystal from Fire to Earth.
Allakhazam lists this as Smithing OR Goldsmithing
with a cap at 97.
This skillup is not listed under the Smithing Guild
recipes, nor is it listed under Somepage or any other
place that I've looked as a Smithing recipe.
I figure it can't be made by a smither, but is there
anybody who knows for sure whether this can be synthed
by a smither?

My smithing skillups stopped at 58.
ummm...This requires an EARTH crystal...not fire.
Now we all know why the Koenig set has +60 CHR... to make Beast Killer godly.

Not sure how this happened but the graphic of the info box on this shield is wrong. The stats and everything are correct but the picture in the upper right corner is not the picture of the Koenig Shield. It is the picture that accompanies the General's Shield, which anyone who knows their shields knows is very similar to the Koenig Shield. However, instead of the purple inlay and gold highlights the General's Shield is gray in its center.

It does add the ability just not in the list it turns to be hidden everyone knows this >.>

nah; I've seen ppl crazy enough to spend the 6 first months of their time in FFXI at crafting only, or mining only......... Then they begun leveling with millions in bank !!!

Beast Killer Effect enhancement infact does give you the trait. I know this because I'm PLD and this trait on the shield made Mobs i lvl off of (beasts) was intimidated by my presence.

Enhance beast Killer does in fact give you the trait. I have used general's shield and beast type mobs have been intimidated by my prescence.
If something enhances an ability, and you don't have the ability, I think you gain it.

You must have to because if WAR/PAL/DRK doesn't have this job ability, then whats the purpose of putting the stat into the item?
WAR/PLD/DRK - However, Beast Killer is a BST trait. What's goin on?
does this add Beast Killer to your JA/JT's or do you have to have it already by /bst?

it meens that it can be made at either lvl 97 goldsmithing or blacksmithing
This is an awesome shield for pally correct me if im wrong, because of the emnity + 3. This effect causes monsters to develop more hate towards you than any other party member for spell casting. So if the DRK in your party just used a Guillotine wip out a few Cure III or IV, then the hate comes right back to you. Thanks.

Goldsmithing and Smithing skills can't both be 97. You have 40 points to allot in skills after 60, so the closest you could come to this would be Goldsmithing (97) and Blacksmithing (63).

When you level a craft, your skill progresses. Once you reach 60 in a craft your skill will progress normally, until you start to level another craft above 60.
Example, Smithing 100, Goldsmithing 60...
Making items in Goldsmithing that would skillcap at 65
get enough skillups to raise GS to 61 and your smithing skill will DROP to 99, thus, you only have "40 points" to work with after 60 in a craft.
Don't believe me? Try it out, level all your crafts to 60 and level your primary to 100, then skillup any of the other ones.
Example, Smithing 100, Goldsmithing 60...
