love this axe, took me 5 kills to get it to drop though, one was with 2 70+ thfs there with me for 1 kill and no axe drop >.>;;

i solo'd it as drg/whm, not tooo hard a NM, though i have relic & af helm and can spam 332 HP heal breaths at the cost of 7mp O__o;;

When I saw 8 drops from this ******* I was like sweet it had to have dropped axe. Checked my newly aquired items, and a bunch of ore, no axe d'oh >.<

Well if there is a plus to being 0/4 he has dropped four adman ingots, which on my server go for 100k each, so not a bad night.

Neither times did we get any adaman. Just mythril and iron ores and a few antican pauldrons.

If you want this drop asap, take a thief with u. And if it drops with some adaman ore, let thief get share, its all his fault anywyz. ^^

Do you have to have this equipped as main for the supposed "hidden effect" or can you use it as secondary weapon and still get the effect?

BLM, THF, and SAM (me) raped this guy with a light SC/MB. Got the Tungi, but only 2 iron ores ; ;. I can confirm that Tungi enhances double attack. I do a 3x hit once every 3 attacks, and a quadrouple hit once about every 10 attacks. I really dont know what to say about the WS damage though, its still very ambiguous. Based off of a 100%TP rampage, i'd say my dmg has jumped from 300 to 400, a full300% yeilds around 500-600, as opposed to a usual 400ish. And yeah, lets not forget that sweet delay lol. In any case, this axe is definately worth the effort.

I was trying to get this for the last day or so, the Tungi; I ran threw the Quicksand Cave route and never saw the ??? marks, so I assumed someone had just examined them and got the tag, normally a curious Centurio camper. Needless to say I didnt stick around because they dont instantly repop. Upon my second trip I was able to spot the tags and grab them up, I ran threw the exit to Western Altepa Desert and Entered the Area for Tribunus VII-I, to my suprise, which is very misleading on the guide, there is a small hallway in which you can spawn him, very convient and link free.

My GF(62WHM) decided to come help me with a couple of haste as I went to take on this beast, I was 75RDM/NIN, when I spawned him I was quite taken by how big he was, and his GA is huge! Anyways, I did standard debuffs, Dia, Slow, Paralyze(Which procced a lot) and Blind, gear was standard DD gear for a RDM; He does all the Antican Moves, Petrify, Silence and all that, so if you bring a PT or a mage, the best thing I found was to have the mage stand by the spawn point, and to tank it near the end of the hall, you then have enough room to fight him link-free and your mages have space so they dont get hit with AOE..

Needless to say I didnt get the drop the first time, and I came back this morning and soloed him after grabbing another pair of tags, got it. I've been trying my Tungi on many things and I can say I have seen a noticable Double Attack proc, and also my Rampage seems to be hitting higher more often, it's also pretty sweet hitting 4 times right after at 600+ rampage, though the tanks don't appreciate it.

Advanced March + Haste + Tungi = Impossible to Gauge WAR Machine.

Thank you Xreme and Chiyoai for Helping me kill this NM.. Finding the Tag was the hardest part.. This NM can be killed by two 70+ EASY. Got the Tungi a Darksteel and Adaman ore along with a few iron and small amount of gil. We didnt have a thf so i assumed we wouldnt get it, but my four leaf mandy bud and lucky egg must have helped alittle ^^. As for the hidden effect. Can't say i see much of a diff. but i did notice that i get 100 tp in 53 secs. when it was normally 62secs.. so im assuming it has the double attack enhancement. Rampage was 350-450 on average. Now it's 375-550. Broke 1000 DMG the other day with mighty strikes^^

Well our LS did this for me. 2 of the member already had the TAG. Didnt drop on the first spawn but got it on the second:-) Thanks goes to LS HouseAtreides members Crumb, Ikonic, Leesc, Lok, and Silverwolf. Thanks guys8-)

first 2 times had TH1 and my uber nin friend helping. Dropped various ores, no Tungi. After getting tag #3, I warped to jeuno and decided to shout for a high lvl THF to bring their TH influence. Duno if it was TH2 or the 3rd-time-charm, but got Tungi.

I highly suggest recruiting a high lvl THF/nin to come kill this thing for you. Just buy them some echo drops and tell them they can get all other drops including adaman ores, that tends to seal their assistance.

Couple notes : The ??? tag does NOT respawn instantly. Im sure of it. It's more of a 2 hour respawn. Think of the tag as the NM, rather than the antican. If youre facing competition it's like mental torture cuz you have no idea if the other guy got it and you're wasting your time still looking for it.

This NM is prety unimpressive vs a 70+ nin or /nin. No need for a party of 70's, hes {too weak}.

Well seeing as I've been able to find very little info on this myself until I just did searching on my own. Here's what I did, and will have to do again. XD

K-7 Entrance to QuickSand Caves, off of Eastern Altepa Desert. H-10, same area as Centurio has a ??? that spawns there, I find that with Oil's it's a safe spot to camp to get the Antican Tag. The NM spawn point is another ??? that you of course trade the Antican Tag to to spawn the NM. The ??? to spawn the NM is located at the J-9 entrance of Westerern Altepa Desert I believe, I can't be quite sure... Even though I just did this. >.< Me ( 65 Warrior ) 73 PLD/NIN and a 75 BRD took it down easy. 0/1, camping the ??? tommorow again. Goodluck to those of you that are trying this drop, though I do not have it yet... I did notice an increased rate of Double Attack for a Warrior I was one on oneing with in Ballista the other day. Always got TP just fast enough before me to pull off Rampage. XD Hope this helps.

I just got my Tungi a couple days ago and it's a great axe. The delay on it is really nice ^^ Took 3 tries to fight the NM but finally I got it. Both me and my bst partner have it and sometimes we take hate too much :P I suggest to get this if you can't get the Kab. Good luck :)

Helped a friend a few days ago get his Tungi. We got on first try, but no Adaman Ore. We even had TH2. I decided then to come back later and get my own.

I decided to have some fun killing something, so I figured forced pop NM is the way to go. I went to Quicksand Caves as 73Nin/War fully intending to solo the win, just because I knew what to expect. So I hunt down the Antican tag, which of course is in the last of the four spawn spots. I headed back there and popped him. I did bring a few echo drops just in case, but he never used the Silence WS when I soloed although he did when helping my friend. He did use the Petrify WS, which kinda scared me... until it wore 3 seconds later.

All in all I took about 24 Dmg, from that Petrify WS alone.

When I soloed him he dropped 6000 gil, 2 Iron Ore, Antican Pauldron, Adaman Ore, and Tungi!

He also gave 34 exp, which rates him as a medium-high EP (EP give 15-45 now) to me at 73. He is 70 at the highest.

I would wager any 70+ Rdm or Nin can solo him with little to no trouble, most jobs 74+ can as well. Just bring some Echo drops, he CAN use Silence WS.
