Walked into the area earlier today, and i saw the spook. I remembered reading somewhere it drops something good. So i kill it, first attempt, POOF! One Traveler's Mantle! It's up for sale, for Gilgamesh, if anyone's interested :)

When prices were high last year, I used to camp Spook for these and sell them...at the time they would fetch 80,000 to 100,000 a piece....sometimes id get 2-3 a night...What a profit.

This item is a good one to have. Not to sell just to keep and use as you see fit. but it does sell for like 12k right now and it doesnt get camped alot so take advantage of this.
I"m noticing no one is camping this NM hardly anymore. Have it to myself Atm.
btw, F8 will only target mobs, so spam that. Sometimes you can even target a crytp worm or something in the advanced area of the tomb.

In my opinion this NM is great for low level characters, not just the NM but King Ranperres Tomb in general. First the Spook pops at 20:00 and 0:00 and if u kill the spook and all mobs around the tombstone befor 3:00 theres a chance for another pop between 3-4. Now three pops a day (again im my opinion) cancels out a bad drop rate im 36/80 over the course of a month and only spent 5 gaming sessions total camping this guy as MNK/SAM. On the low level side king ramps tomb is a great place to farm zinc ores and various materials gobbies drop for Clothcrafting. Hope this post builds up your spirits. Just hang in there i think alot of bad juju surrounding this NM comes form impatience and the ever so popular "I didnt get the claim they must be an RMT" scapegoat >.> N e way good luck

I'm 2/7, so no, its not bogus. Just because you have no kind of luck doesn't mean anyone else can't.
Oh, and other than behind the stone pops I've not yet lost a claim using Dia (RDM).

1/3 on this badboy so far... 51BLM i macro stun cause its a fast casting spell.... beat out all the THF's which is always fun! Lost one claim because it popped behind tomb stone and i couldn't see him. Pops between 20:00-0:400 and usually only pops twice a night to the right of the tombstone...

I'm 1/3 on this guy.. its pretty easy as a 51blm all i do is macro Stun, which is one of the fastest casting spells, i beat all the thf's out. Lost the claim once cause he popped behind tomb stone and i couldn't see him... Sells for 40k in Jeuno on Diabolos.

God I hate these God damn gilsellers, theres one in Fenrir called "Homem". EVERYONE knows hes a gilseller and plenty of people have reported him, but the GMs don't do ****.

I'm 0/15 on Spook now with TH1 and 0/10 on Crypt Ghost.
24/7 camper called Princey always logs in at 19:30 Vana'diel time and logs out at 04:30...
I think he's a bot (like in Diablo II)or something, because he's just answering with /em and I never saw him talking.

Hmmm, is that the Drg tht is quite infuriating? He comes and stands RIGHT in front of me instead of finding his own camp spot so I have to target him first?

after 2 hours lfp as 62 mnk i get bored and figure i'll farm or something, so i look here and see this has an ok drop rate or at least a lot of good stories. i get here and there are 5 ppl campin it and only 1 was under 50 wtf
i just found out that this thing sells for 400+k on siren IN SANDY! I'm rich!!!!!!

1/1 on this thing after a couple nights of no claims. :D Made me feel better after a week of camping Hoo Mjuu the Torrent with no drop...
this is so exspensive because its used to synth Nomads mantle, and a HQ nomads mantle sells for 1 Mil on most servers, i know it does on Ragnarok

I dont understand why this is so expensive at the ah, its not like its all that good of an item. I guess you just have to rely on idiots buying it. I'm not sure how much this is at the ah, I forgot to check.
Its like the stupid neckchopper great Axe, crappy weapon but sells for about 200k :'( I got a level 30 Great axe for about 20k and it was so much friggin better.
This is all on the Cerberus server
Ok, I got the prices, this thing is 130k and the thing you can turn it into (Nomads Mantle) was only 120k so obviously buying it to turn it into that isn't worth it (other than for the skill up you may or may not get when crafting)

You must be retarded. Evasion +3 at this level for a NIN is insane good. Oh and in regards to Neckchopper, find a better weapon for a WAR for a BCNM20... I dare you.

Neckchopper is the best Great Axe (and therefore the best Warrior weapon) from 20-28. It sells for 200k because at that level, Acc+5 is godly.
This sells so well because Nomad's Mantle+1 sells for kajillions of gil. Also, back slot is pretty miserable for a while.

Im a NM camper, not a gilseller. This thing is easy to camp. With a lvl 50 pld u can get it very easy with Flash. I never lose to anyone unless im away. I make about 1 mil a day off this lesser NM and its good money. I also sell them for 200k. If anyone wants any contact me on Valfore. EASY MONEY.

/wave im on Valefor as well ^^ how many people normally camp this thing a day? Need one for my thf but dont feel like paying the price i think its down to like 120k now ill end up coming as smn60 and /bst or whm 35 with /bst thnx for the help :P

everybody on hades complains I know but i would be willing to pay 100K for this... however AH has it at 330K so not happening anytime soon tried camping earlier but didn't get a claim oh well better luck next time

look all the only way to get spook now is to click on him with a /wait macro and a ja after like /wait 1.5 /ja "Provoke" <t> as en example thats it thats all
Why not have a macro for provoke right under the F7 key (stnpc) so you can do that quickly?
