Just went up there got it on first kill so drop varies
This is just a thought I had, if it says it can be found in Port Bastok it is probably sold by someone a vender that can only sell it if Bastok has control of the region the mountains are in.

Was running from Boyahda Tree, killing the Goblins and Golems as I went along, then when I got into Meriphataud Mountains, near the Sauromugue Champaign zone, killed four Hill Lizards, and got drops on the first two I killed.
Goes for 1,000g on Cerberus Auction, sells for 300g at Vendor.

Meriphatuad mountains...sit there for a while and kill Hill Lizzys....if you got anything other than thf your gonna be there for a while....lvl 30RDM/BLM chilled for like a half hour straight killin Lizards and Gobs....finnaly got one earing

I think they must have adjusted the drop rate to a really low number.
I've killed about 20 lizards now in a row, and gotten ZERO drops of earrings.

I'm not so sure, I killed maybe 10 and got 2 earrings.
Who sells these in port bastok?

These can typically be bought for around 1k each on Unicorn, in the various Auction Houses around the world. Not bad, 100gil expense for every earring. Cheap fame.

have theses ear rings ever been droped by the lizzys in the dunes?i ve camped there sooo many times for skins but never goton the rings? any advice
no they drop over near windurst.. in the "Meriphataud Moutains" and, the "Sauromuge Chapmaign"

I am going to guess they do not. I have never seen one dropped from a lizard in the Dunes since the PC version game out in the US. Just killed five lizards in the Mountains and got three of these earrings, however.
I think I might have solved my money woes...
You can turn these in in Windurst for the Twinstone Bonding quest the first time is a Wrapped bow and everytime after is 900g pretty good if you have a thief and nothing to do

I looted this off of a Hill Lizard in the Mountains 3 Zones North of Windhurst. Sells for 1k at AH on Ragnarok.
