Summary

Count Aurchiat lies dead, felled in an Orcish ambush that has left the Cardinal Stags severely weakened deep in the heart of enemy territory. The key to survival lies in a joint operation with the Iron Rams...

Walkthrough

Head to Xarcabard (S) and examine the animal spoor at J-9 for a cutscene. Then head to I-10 and examine the wheel rut for another cutscene, then return to the animal spoor for one more cutscene. You will receive the key item Vial of military prism powder.

Still in Xarcabard (S), head to I-7 and examine the Forbidding Portal for another cutscene. Examine the portal again to enter a BCNM battle against several monsters. If you lose the BCNM, you must return to the wheel rut at I-10 to receive another Vial of military prism powder. You can only obtain one key item per game day.

After beating the BCNM, return to the wheel rut at I-10 for a cutscene and to complete the quest.

Battle Notes

This BCNM battle pits your party against Kingslayer Doggvdegg (pld) and his pet, Gherrmoga. Assisting the main NM are four Bloodwing Maimers (war) and two Bloodwing Deathrainers (blm). All orcs must be defeated to win this battle.

• Buffs do not wear off
• Party members must be on or past this quest to participate in this battle.
• Excenmille assists you in this battle and must be kept alive to complete this BCNM. He uses AoE weaponskills and can boost the attacks of party members.
• Use Poison Potions to counteract sleepga from the orcs.
• Dispel the main NM's Arm Block move, which increases defense.
