SummaryHelp find Prince Trion a suitable bride. WalkthroughIt appears Halver is in an undesirable situation. When the quest is accepted, you are given a cut scene where King Destin desires Halver to find a suitable bride-to-be for Prince Trion. After consulting Prince Pieuje, Halver is sent off with a certain description of woman that Trion prefers. Halver requests that you bring this person to him. Find an adventurer with the description that the King gives you, group with them, and both of you are treated to a great cut scene. You are given Castor's Ring, and the adventurer you brought to Halver is given Pollux's Ring. The rare/ex quality on these rings can be removed by synthing them with a wind crystal, and they can be signed by using a Cyclone crystal. I talked to Halver a while ago and the cutscean for this quest started, i didnt have enough time to do it so i declined. will i ever get another opportunity to get this quest again?
i was asked to do the quest.. silver hair parted down the middle. The Chateau wouldn't let me in. I was a windurstian a the time. And the poor guy who needed me for the quest couldn't speak english.. I felt bad not being able to help him.
Any ideas? I was a lvl 7 rdm..... don't know if that had anything to do with it.

outside of sandy you need to be rank 2 mission 3 to get into the chateau...rank 2 if you're from sandy.

if you play a male, have someone who retrieved the pollux ring synth it w/ a wind crystal to remove the rare and exclusive symbols. They may now trade it you or sell it, depending on their mood. Remember women are and can be fickle no maybe about it.

i have the same description for the bride and i have had 2 or 3 mithra who fit the descrip come into the chateau with me.......nothing happens. Halver asks if i found a bride thats it.. soo if anyone knows what i have to do then help me out please. ^^

You need to be on the rank 2-3 mission or above in order to enter the castle. You have to enter the castle to get the instructions for the first city of the mission 2-3 or for the dragon part depending on what other mission portions you have completed.

i wonder if two females that meet the descriptions of the others quest can go in together and be in the same cutscene as potential bride or whatever..?
Pretty fun quest. I teamed up with my buddy and we invested about 8 hours in this. Need to complete first 3 missions to obtain rank 2 to be able to enter the area. My friend crated a character that matched my required description and i created a character that matched his description.
After long 8 hours and about $15,000 spent on best armor and weapon upgrades it was done.
Was it worth it? Hey why not it was fun!!!

The rings are pretty useless unless you desynth and sign them
A few notes...
Requirements:
My fame: 3 (the third statement that is, so two levels above starting fame, so actually not very high fame)
My Rank: Bastok 2 (you do not need 3 as some think, but you do need 2, people with rank 1 tried to be the woman and couldn't get into the Chateau)
Troubleshooting: if you can get into the Chateau, you can get the quest, just keep talking to Halver until he asks you to help, don't zone until you make him talk to the king in a cutscene!
The quest completion cutscene was really quite fun...I did it as the woman and the person hunting the woman (so both ways) and it's the same cutscene, the rings are different and each side gives fame and a different title.
-- It's really fun if you get members of your linkshell to do it at the same time you do, you can hunt for each other's women, and possibly be each other's women -- a ls mate and I did the quest the same real world day and while I was hunting women, his description matched me one day (after getting the elvaan face no one likes and cancelling) and I came along as his candidate

wind crystal + pollux/castor ring = non-rare/ex pollux/castor ring
...so you can sign and trade them to people or "get married" or use them as friendship bracelets...but rings. I don't care, that's how it's done

OK, I have brought at least three blonde tarus to the Chateau, none are the right one apparently. My description is: Female Taru with voluminous blonde hair parted in the middle and tied behind the ears... Ponytails weren't right, the ones with ribbons tying it back like braids kind of weren't right. I am stumped! Anyone know which Taru this would be? Bismarck server, any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Bah, yeah I got the same one.... I got this quest as an accident when I was trying to get the Journey Abroad mission... Well, I hope I can do this... Time to look at character creations..
1- You need pretty high fame for this quest.
1b- You need to speak with Halver at least twice, first time he will just tell you to behave.
2- If you are San D'Orian, you need minimum rank 2 in order to enter the castle. Minimum rank 3 if you are from Windurst or Bastok.
3- If you are a male or female and you activate this quest you will get a "Castor's Ring" rare/ex. This ring can have it's rare/ex status removed by synthing (you can have 0 craftskills) with wind crystal + this ring.
3b- You can also add your name/signature if you have a cyclone crystal + this ring. Thereby creating this myth of this item being a "wedding engagement ring."
4- If you are a female and you are taken to do this quest (i.e. you are not the one to have activated it), you will get a Pollux's Ring.
4b- Pollux's ring is rare/ex also. And like the Castor's ring can have it's rare/ex removed + have your signature/name inscribed on it.
5- There is no time limit. I went, got the quest. Didn't really look for my person for like more than a month, went back and was still able to do it.

Got the description, logged on to my bro's computer, created a char of the like, and did this quest by myself XD;; WOO! gotta love the easiness
Edit: Yah, i had to do a few missions to get into the fortress, but it was a lot better than shouting around like a fool looking for a characted he cant explain what looks like =P

i've done this quest twice. the first time i did it i had to find a bride fitting the descricption, and the second time i did it, i fit the description of the female needed. so yes, you can do this quest twice if you are a female.
and yes, you can cancel this quest because that's what i did. I just couldnt find the right female and i just decided to cancel it. i didnt know that i could get it again but when i talked to halver a while later he gave me the quest again with a different description and i was able to finish it. so i have both castor's and pollux ring.
now, what i want to know is how to engrave a name in the rings.

to engrave the ring, you must synth it with a 'Cyclone' crystal. it can only be obtained by being lvl 30 in a craft and passing the 3rd test then getting it from the guild.

Talk to Halver twice again. He'll tell you the description again.
Do you need a particular lvl in any craft to undo the "ex" by synthesising the rings with a wind crystal or is it a guarenteed synthesis at any lvl. I'd hate to synth it and lose it in the process.

I just got this quest yesterday. I'm a citizen of Bastok(Not San D'Oria), and I'm rank 2(not 3, as some ppl have said is required). I just had enough fame to get the quest.
So anyway, I'm looking for a Hume female with long black hair swept over their left shoulder (seems overly specific, but whatever). I'm on Ragnarok server, currently hanging around Sandy, lvling RDM. Look me up if u fit the description! Thanks.

I found it usefull to just set up a macro like this:
/shout Searching for a Mithra with:
/wait3
/shout Blonde hair tied in two braids on either side of the face

/shout For quest; "Fit For a Prince" Reward=Pollux ring!
When ever I'm in Sandy checking the AH I just spam it a few times hoping somebody will respond.
Also, you CAN take off the EX using a wind crysal and CAN put your name on it using a cyclone crystal. I have also seen people with other gear (fishing tunic) with they're name at the bottom. It looks like the linkshell description. In the bottom right corner like this:

sorry, I can't get my equipment description box to come out right, but you probably get the idea.
Okay guys, just do what I did and find someone else who is also on the quest and both of you make the female character each of you need. If you can't find anyone, ask a friend or someone in your LS to make it, and help them get to rank 2 so they can go inside the Chateau with you.
You don't have to be San d'Orian, and the girl DOES have to be an adventurer... not an NPC...

I play as a Mithra with orange hair tied back in a ponytail/bun. Is there any chance he's going to ask for someone with MY description? If so, that's gonna be hella awkward to explain to my fiance ^^;
I have gotten the quest but my problem lies in the fact that the person I'm suppose to find does not exist.
Halver told me to look for a elvan female with red shoulder length hair parted in the middle.
First I checked my guide book which has all the faces and then I went to make a new character to double check their faces, and I did not see one elvan female with anything that resembled red hair let alone the rest of the characteristics.
Someone please help!!!!!!!!

No it does exist, but I must admit red haired elvaan are pretty much non-existant, on Garuda anyway. If you really want to finish the quest i would suggest (as so many other have) to find a friend to make the character for you.

i am sanD max fame in sandoria and i got the quest. i did find a few mithra's matching blond hair and braised on either side of face. when i invited her in party mode, it won't let her inside the castle. why is it? does the mithra need to have a specific rank or nation to be able to enter the castle to meet halver?

Ok, I started this quest by accident. I'm trying to do the Ballista quest and I get this instead. I wasn't paying attaintion to what the prince was looking for the first time. I've not gone back to San D'Oria yet but, will he describe what type of person he's looking for again or am I S.O.L.?
