SummaryHelp find Prince Trion a suitable bride. WalkthroughIt appears Halver is in an undesirable situation. When the quest is accepted, you are given a cut scene where King Destin desires Halver to find a suitable bride-to-be for Prince Trion. After consulting Prince Pieuje, Halver is sent off with a certain description of woman that Trion prefers. Halver requests that you bring this person to him. Find an adventurer with the description that the King gives you, group with them, and both of you are treated to a great cut scene. You are given Castor's Ring, and the adventurer you brought to Halver is given Pollux's Ring. The rare/ex quality on these rings can be removed by synthing them with a wind crystal, and they can be signed by using a Cyclone crystal. i need a hume girl with brown hair barely covering her eyebrows and in a short pony-tail. im baufian on odin
Halver won't do anything... I got the quest like 4 years ago and still trying to find the right mithra, I brought him every combination I can think of with red hair mithras and he still won't take her. All he ever asks is if a suitable bride could not be found and asks if I want to give up. :/

I accidentally canceled this quest and I was wondering if any one else has done the same thing and been able to reactivate it. It seems Halver only tells me about how cool I am hitting rank 10 but wont offer the quest again. Any ideas?

Found out that you must wait until the next game day to obtain the quest again after canceling it. Also found out that you'll almost always get a new description in case some of you are having trouble finding a "suitable mate" for our prince. :P

I'm about to do this quest and is there a way to sign it after you use a wind crystal on it or is it once only?

I decided today to go thru some Quests I had activated, and never finished. I went to this one and had to go back and talk to Halvar because i had no idea what the female needed to look like.
I go talk to him write down the info then go here to look it up, and see what everyone's advice was. I pop back on ffxi and i almost had a heart attack. I kid you not the character I needed was standing right next to me talking to Halvar! I stared for like 5 minutes just to make sure.
I send them a tell explaining it to them, and they did not speak english. I then had to figure out how to explain it to them.
I did "[Party] [Please Assist] [Quest]". She said yes and Bamb I got it done! What are the odds that the exact character I needed would walk in at the time I decided to try the quest again after months of me starting it! I was in complete shock! lol

Bleh. I'm currently doing this quest and I need an Elvaan female with black hair that is braided behind her left ear.

My question concerning this quest may be a strange one. The thing is I am a male character and I want to give the Pollux's Ring to someone but I'm hoping to have it engraved. Once the ring has been synthed using a Wind Crystal and then becomes a tradable item can it then be synthed once more using a Guild Crystal?

you can use a wind crystal to remove rare/ex status, then use an HQ crystal to sign it.

If you're having trouble finding that specific girl, I think the PlayOnline 'Character Creation' tool is benefical. You can cycle through all the looks there so you can really keep your eye out in the game, rather than stalking up to every Mithra around with that certain hair color and staring at them in 1st-person view. I'm pretty sure I identified the ones people on here were looking for using that method. Try it out if you're having touble.

Heyyo, you may have already tried, but if you go talk to Halver again he should give you the description. I wrote mine done in Group 10 macros, so I wouldn't forget.

Is that a brown headband? I got some description like mithra with red hair tied in the back with a brown band but the only mithra I can find that has her red hair tied in the back has a silver band.

ok I helped someone do this cuz I matched the description. taru, grey hair, three pony tails. everything worked fine except I didnt get a thing. Didnt get the cut scene either although the questor did get the cut scene and the ring. I was cheated!

I've been trying desperately to get this done. My boyfriend did it and gave the ring to me, so I'm trying to do the same thing. I need a taru with brown hair tied behind the ears. If you're on the Fenrir server, /tell Pilby.
