though why any rdm would do this is beyond me other than to say they are the only one that has done it....wear this and merit club so you can have the amount of skill necessary to get the Weapon Skill <Black Halo>.
That may be true, but unfortunately in order to get Black Halo you need to unlock a Club of Trials, which RDM cannot equip. Same goes for BRD with Sapara of Trials, they can get the sword skill with merits/gear but they can't get the ws )there are other examples too).
what about learning it as say whm, since they can wield the club of trials. Then you'll have the WS. Switch to RDM and voila, you have it as RDM.
Any job which cannot get a quested WS with their default stats will be unable to use it even if they match the skill level requirements with gear and merits.
Anyone know what the level is for these torque items are?
The various Sea god torques and weapons are level 73
From what I have read.. This is dropped (not 100%) from the Jailer of Prudence. The Jailer of Prudence is considered to be a Tier 2 Sea god.
The Jailer of Prudence is a forced pop with an HQ Hpemde Organ, Deed of Sensibility, and a 3rd Virtue traded to the ??? in the Al'Taieu at positions L8. The Jailer of Prudence can summon 2 Qn'Hpemde's.
The Jailer of Hope also drops the Prudence Rod (100%) and the 6th Virtue (not 100%).

Since nobody else seems to be adding worthwhile comments to these new items...
Presumably this drops from Jailer of Prudence. The Love Torque drops from JoL, so it makes sense.
