These are really fun. (:
I'm starting to notice that the Shura set, compared to the original Samurai Artifact for this game, is kind of fun in its style. These godly Shorts are made from sturdy cloth material with the Divine Lumber sewn into the sides. You obtain the right to wear them from the Divine Tiger of the West, Byakko (To wear any kind of "godly" gear you must have the approval of some kind of divine authority in the form of an abjuration).
Compared to the normal Sam pantaloon things, these shorts are just downright fun and FUNKAY. They look very comfortable and have a dangerously sexay different color pattern for the crotch area, though done in conservative black. Very cool stuff, stats are awesome, these shorts rule for high level Samurai. Let's get fun, let's get funky, let's wear them Shura Shorts ^^

lol my ls killed Byakko and we got 2 to drop on one kill :D
Yesterday we did 2x Byakko. I think it was around 6% waning crescent on the moon. These were the drops:
Mara Fibre
Byakko's Haidate
D. Legs
D. Legs
Lightning crystal
Seal of Byakko (of course)
Throwing wind of byakko. (Can't remember which one.)
On the 2nd one
We got N.hands and 2 other drops which I can't remember, but no Haidate or Dlegs.
We then did Kirin, and got Oingot, Wlegs, and Osode. (Same moon phase.) On my FFXI clock the moon phase was around 11:00 to 12:00 on the dial. (So it was at 0% moon sometime during these runs.

Just a note to everyone thinking,
"Oh, everyone in my damn LS wants Byakkos Haidate and the drop rate on those aren't too good... I know, I'll just go for Shura haidate!"
Byakko's drop rate on Dryadic: Legs, from my view, is very, very bad. We have killed him upwards of 15 times with a total of 2 Dry: leg drops. (Both on a full moon.) We have gotten about 5-7 B. haidates.
Also, in my oppinion
NIN: Byakko is better, no contest
MNK: Toss up, I would say depending on race,but B. Haidate for the most part.
SAM: This is easily much better than Byakko's haidate, for a few reasons. 1. STR is your crack cocaine, even if you had Byakko's you would want this to macro in for WS's. 2. This is better for HNM, seeing as your dex/haste would be useless as you do not build TP on the actual god/HNM as sam, only WS.
(I am a SAM if you couldn't tell, I just recently obtained the HQ version of these.) *Shrug* Apparently its a rare synth, so thank you Chibchiba w ^^

1. Get all the stuff to make the Cursed Haidate
2. Get a woodworker with lv 100~ (so maybe you can get a +1 lol)
3. Have him synth it
4. Get a Dryadic Abjuration: Legs from Byakko
5. Use the Dryadic Abjuration: Legs on them
6. Equip and run around jeuno in circles

You must be terribly insecure in real life that you feel the need to tell everyone you have the HQ. It's too bad it doesn't make up for you being a ****** player.

ehh...the recipe is only 93..a 100+3+synth support can easily break tier 1, and have a 10% HQ rate. so really its a 1/10 craft chance. lol i see soo many ppl always bragging about their HQ haidates like they're 1 in a million. If i ever get some more spare gil on hand, i'd like to keep getting materials to try for a HQ

actually, only Shura Togi requires you to beat Kirin for D. Abjuration body. The abjuration for Haidate is dropped by Byakko^^

well the byakko haidate is super good for Nin~Rng~and monk and brd(for the Haste for songs) and for samurai(samurais are a tad slow on the hitting side) warrior it really isnt called for but eh i guess teh 15 dex is good for any melee job right? I have the Normal Shura cursed haidate, need to grab the ABJ when my LS does byakko soon, been dieing to rock this along with my Shura kabuto :)

....anyone know how to get this? its looks amazing.. i need to know!
It's abjuration, first you find a crafter they make the cursed version then you defeat an HNM and obtain the abjuration then you go to the cathedral in sandy.
