I farmed the meat as DRK/THF (Gimped THF) I killed 10-12 got one..Needless to say i quit! I have a question, is there anywhere else to farm these with a higher drop rate? Cause i refuse to pay 40K a stack on Ragnarok (Ragnarok has some of the worst inflation!) Any replies are welcomed.
These are a decent farm item sometimes. I used them for skillups back in the day as well.

I found this item very hard to farm this effectively; I first tried as 32PLD/16WAR, not much success and lots of downtime. I got about 1/4 drops.
Then I went for 33war/16thf with much better results; as in 3/4. Still some downtime but much better drops.
I farmed in Sauromugue Champaign in an area next to the Spine. I've yet to try the other place ( Batallia Downs? )
Definately got bored after 20 minutes....

You dont have to only kill cockatrice or buy in ah/vendor. This can be stolen from sabertooths. I have however only had success at my current lvl. I usually just go to the rng quest cave in Sauromague steal the meat; kill the tigers for teeth. Hope this helps you guys save a few k per meat and makes you some money in the process. 3 usually spawn here so just watch for links and should be fairly profitable for you.

It is nearly impossible for me to obtain the meat for these anymore besides purchasing them from the AH. I swear, it's like hunting the most heavily camped NM getting to the cockatrices anymore ><

pfft, the prices on this in diabolos are 20k+
You'd be lucky to get them for 1700 each.
As of today I bought one from jeuno for 25k O_O
anyways. . . it's really expensive
Oh, and I checked the guild, they don't always sell it there, but I have seen it there for like 2k+.

1000 - 1200 each, +100-300 on upper limit if there are short of demand.

i usually farm them in Saur.Champ. Sometimes beaks drop it on every kill, and sometimes they just rarely drop it..(1/4~7). Result varies alot XD.
