i'm from bastok and high enough rank to purchase this but i'm tryin' to decide on whether to get it from windy or jeuno. how many conquest pts does it cost from windy? jeuno?

Good question, in my view its whatever you like, I For example have the mercenarys greatsword, along with an additional DEX+7 from my items, so i almost never miss ^_^

So, I've been wondering this for a while. I'm a level 24 WAR/THF, and I have both this sword and the Braveheart sword. Would this sword be better than the Braveheart sword? I mean, it hits harder, doing a lot more damage, but it doesn't hit as often. Give me your thoughts on this, I'd be interested in you opinions.
I got mine from the windurst guard. Costs me 4000 CP. Well worth it I think. You need to be Rank 3 though to get it.
You can find it at the auction house. I bought mine (on caitsith) for about 7k. They had 6 or 7 of them listed at the time. I bought it in Jeuno.

Hello, I just wanted to say that i seen this 1 guy with this 1 sword that did this 1 thing and it had like 105 dmg and all this other stuff and it was named like "fwhgads" or somthin like that and it did this 1 thing for him like plus 3 to all those element thingys and i never seen it before.

This game is driving me insane i almost killed my cat just looking at him and i thought he was an orc, this game is giving me hallucinations and im getting sick of drinking bawls everytime i play so i play 17+ hrs a damn day, someone kill me, and the sword i dont even care about it.

I'm Sandorian and I know at one time, I guess it was my first time in Windhurst, I was able to see the conquest points items. Now I've gone to my Consulate to try and collect there but they didn't have any Merc items. So my question is do I have to change my allegiance to collect? Or is there a way for me to collect without being from Windhurst?

Yes, you can use your conquest points at their gate guards if you want their items, but it will cost you double the CP that it would cost a WH citizen.

I tried talking to one of their gate guards but they told me to talk to a guard from my own country.... So is there in lies my dilemma...

You only get the sword when Windurst leads the conquest. Otherwise it's not an option. Conquest ranking is the underlying factor of everything in Vana'diel :P

Somtimes it can be found among the conquest point items and somtimes not. I saw it a few days ago, but when I checked today it wasn't there. :/

Lies... I went to Windrust and was not able to get it in the Conquest points area... Had lots of other Merc equipment but NOT the Great Sword, so where can you "really" find this weapon.
