my party all got nest keys whilewe were exping last night althou none of us opened any chests because none spawned where we were leveling :(

Is there a Chest Map somewhere so I can know where the chest spawn?

My PT's got lots and lots of these by killing hornflys near secret room. They drop a fair good amount, given the fact that I had Treasure Hunter while killing flys. If you get lucky, you also might find a few kindred's seals...=)

I was solo when I found the chest. Reward was 9500G. I found the chest around the Rumble Crawler room, sort of across from it, along the wall.
I've opend about 4-5 chests in parties and we've gotten anywhere from 2000-5000 each so i was wonderin if i was solo would i of gotten 6x as much?

I just got the chest a few days ago (sadly there was an exoray nearby and I forgot you lose sneak upon opening any chests >.<) and all I got was a light opal... selling for 1k in jueno... big let down

No, but Exoray aggroes to sound, so when opening the treasure chest and losing sneak that's exactly what happened, i believe ^^
Everyone keeps posting "wrong key, wrong mob!" and I assume they dont realize two things.
1. This item is the Nest key for the Treasure CHEST not Coffer.
2. Its actually the Treasure Chest thats used in the Red Mage AF2, not the coffer.
The chest/coffer thing seems to be confusing a lot of people for this AF since all other AFs require the coffers rather than chests.
Yes, Treasure Chest and Treasure Coffer are two different things. A lot of zones have both. Both require different keys, a chest key wont work for a coffer and the reverse is also true.
I've seen the key drop very frequently from horn flies and exorays. Cant recall any ever dropping from soldier crawlers.

Um if I am not mistaken, the only three dungeons that you find RSE in are Gusgen Mines, Ordelle's Caves, and the Maze of Shakhrami. They have the same principle, though...use a treasure chest key to open a treasure chest.

I found one of the spawn points for the chest near the hidden room. Opened it for the Gigant Axe (Lv.49 WAR/DRK GAX).
The Coffer Chest is entirely different.

no you're wrong. this is the page for the chest key.
Well I've opened the chest twice, and I've gotten 4150 gil each time.. and everyone in my party had gotten the same.

this key drops so frequently.....we always find it while leveling
The key also drops from Exorays.
Im not sure what drops out of the chest normally, but its also used in Red Mage AF2. You get the quest, the key, then open the chest and will recieve Crawler's blood.

anyone know what drops out of this chest?

I got one of these keys to drop off a Hornfly, though i am not sure what is in the chest or where it is.
