Hey, can you get the 50mp on the Maat fight? Im not sure if the Area is under anyones effect

As far as I know everyone fights Maat in Balga's Dais. Balgas Dais is the Burning Circle in Giddeus controlled by Windurst. So... Balga's Dais is controlled by Windurst, and if you're not Windurstian you'll get the MP.

The Maat fight takes place in Waughroon Shrine, the burning circle located in Palborough Mines in the Gustaberg region. Considering that it's extraordinarily rare for Gustaberg not to be controlled by Bastok (it's the only outpost teleport this Sandorian doesn't have), you almost certainly will not get the extra 50 MP from this item for your Maat fight. It was a good idea, but sorry :/.

my maat fight was in giddeus's burning circle. I guess it alternates? I did the fight as a 70SMN.
the Maat fight BC vary from job to job.

I've read through the posts and I still don't quite understand how to get this item. I know that it is only from Bastok conquest when they are in first, but if you are not Bastokan can you only get this item if your nation is in second when Bastok is first? Or can you get it when your nation is in third place with Bastok in first?

I think what he's tying to say is, that if you're not a bastokian citizen, you won't be able to obtain this item.
Oh, and I also rated Jp back up, since some people thing accidently quadruple-posting is a punishable offense, and were bombing his karma. Sheesh, he probably just had an internet hiccup, get over it people.

You have to have signet active, and be in a region not controlled by your nation to get the 50 MP. Surprisingly, it works in your hometown.

Anyone have this item? I can't seem to get the +50MP attribute to work. I tried it in areas controlled by other nations, I also tried in areas controlled by beastmen. It just doesn't work... Don't know if this is a glitch. Maybe a hidden requirement is that Bastok cannot be first? Anyone else know anything?

how can you not use this thing???? especially if your a black mage and burns MP like theres no tommorow? you should take the opportunity to use all the MP you can... also when you say "everywhere" is out of your nations control shouldn't you want to use this????? I'm confused as to why your not wantin to have this... you only make yourself look stupid when you say that you don't want to use it even though it will be workin for you most of the time. and at the end of a battle, you;ll just have 50 more Mp that you won't have to worry about healing for.also, what other neck item gives you this much MP anyway??? if you find one please tell me, cuz i can;t find anything beter than this especially at your level

As a RDM, I swap my MP gear during convert and use it to heal myself (not take the MP from my spell casting MP). I use the Elemental Torque and Enfeebling Torque depending upon the spell.
As a BLM, I don't usually use MP gear.
As a SMN, I use MP gear almost exclusively.

During a fight, having the Elemental Torque for Elemental Magic +7 or the Enfeebling Torque for Enfeebling Magic +7 is better.
However, if you can afford it, get both. Rest to full MP at the start of a chain while wearing the Republican Gold Medal, then swap out for a Torque after casting at least 50mp worth of spells.

Hmm... We just recently bombed down to like, third place in Windurst on Ragnarok. Maybe it was second place. We held first for so long, but we lost it.

man this item would be cool to have, but being Bastokan in Asura, i know ill have enough CP by the time we get 1st (or maybe 2nd???) oh well it does say outside controlled areas right? yay, in Asura we suck so bad, that this thing is gonna be worth gold to me

you really should save 40000cp for whenever bastok ever happens to be first. this week bastok is first on bahamut for i think the first time in about 3-4 months, and everyone who is going to be a mage potentially lv65+ is trying to get this medal. sucks for ppl who aren't rank 8 yet.
this is why you dont spend cp on stuff to sell because you're broke! ex. a friend of mine used all of her cp to buy stuff to sell and now is short about 9k cp for rep.gold medal. save all your cp til bastok is first you get more money anyway off #1 items since bastok sucks so bad..

Sandy got smoked this week on Valefor, I really should do more EFs, etc.
As for the medal, if Bastok ever gets first (on Valefor) and you get this medal, you're almost assured 50MP everywhere outside of Gustaberg (and occasionally Zulkheim).

This is excellent. I saw a Galkan PLD with this, 2 astral rings, and the 2nd set of RSE. Very uber.
So he like.. was coming close to having the MP of a naked hume? :P I'm kidding.(not really)
Well on the other hand if bastok ever does come in first, theres a good chance they wont stay there. So hypotheticaly you would get the benefits all over vana^^
This is a Bastok CP item, rank 8 (40000 CPs). It's only available when Bastok is in first, or in other words, never, if you're on Valefor :(.

So true. I know what you mean, I'm on Valefor too, and I'm a Hume from Bastok. I've taken to calling it Lastok. ;_;
