I got this a few days ago from the help of Kagebunshin(PLD), Kyi(RDM), Zoya(MNK) and myself(WHM). We decided to randomly camp him without a ToD, and said ***** it. We were there for only 20 minutes when in the middle of fighting a Cockatrice, I'm being hit by Kreutzet! Noone else there but a solo THF and a NIN who actually told me that Kreutzet was spawning next game day. Zoya owned the crap out of it with his Spharai, he used Hundred Fists to open and took a good 40% off of it. I died during the fight as Kreutzet killed me when we were fighting the Cockatrice, but managed to get kill and drop! 1/1 (As I'm guessing this isn't 100%)

I'm wondering would this be a good offhand at 75 with BD or any other main hand dagger? If so which main dagger would be best?

SK is not he best off hand dagger "period" as people are saying. With the new fane baselard if you augment to +6 DMG +8-10 acc and +1-2 Tripple attack, you can main hand that and off hand a blau dolch. baselard/blau outparses a blau/SK by a significant ammount. Good day.
Love it. Dropped last night, nice looking offhand with BD mainhand. Tanked K with total of 344 +/- evasion, whm and thf friend in party. Was afraid I was not going to be able to keep hate, but no problem at all after other thf did a TA/DE on me. Whm kept up baraero, and we whittled him down. Would have gone a bit more quickly if any of us had remembered to bring food :)

At the moment I'm @ 3k exp until 69 on THF. Would absolutely love to have this kukri for my THF. So.... anyone want to help a poor Galka THF out? -.^ I can camp the ToD easily on my 75BST and probably hold him for awhile throwing every pet in the zone at him as he more than likely will rip them to hell and back. Problem would be getting reinforcements there to help in time. So if anyone on the Lakshmi server feels like helping out, send Khael a /tell. Thank you and may you never double-post for the remainder of your days.
Update: @ 12k until 74 and still no damn knife! >.<; Someone please help a brotha' out on Lakshmi! :P Anyhoo, I'll try and make some time to camp this ******* and if any fellow THF's wan't to help, I'd be more than gracious to return the favor! Thanks and happy hunting!

lol all you ppl suck T.T im currently 0/9 on him and lost claim about 7 times, i do not know what is wrong with my luck since i am a thf with TH3 and it dose not want to drop for me... sux lol ohh well guess ill try him again later or something
Killed this as THF/NIN and RDM/WHM. Went 1/2 on the drop. I was surprised at how easy he was to kill, I could almost always tank Ichi to Ichi, recasting once 2 shadows dropped. I should say I wore an evasion build (307 Skill and +53 evasion, 71 AGI). The 3x Stormwinds weren't too bad, I think they did between 100-250 damage each Stormwind with Baraera up. If your healer knows its coming, its nothing bad at all. His evasion is pretty high, even if you keep dispelling Feather Barrier. The RDM was able to land both Bind and Gravity on the mob (she pulled the second one). Not too much healing was required, Convert wasn't necessary.

getting a little frustrated with this nm. dont worry i dont have to much of a rant but i need to vent a little.
came out with me (rdm75)and a buddy who was 75 thf. he was also deul boxing a 65 whm so we figured we were good. he had ToD so it was just a matter of time for it to pop. well... 15 minutes before it popped i fell asleep. >< both thf and whm died and i was just standing there. an apology later were back out the next day. as we are fighting it turns wind weather and we see him. so we zone our mob cause we had 2 on us. we come out and a lone rdm got claim. within 10 seconds about 10 ppl show up out of nowhere. i believe they were hacking but i already know gms wont do sh??. so next night 40 minutes after windom closes wind finally pops and we get the claim. thr fight was pretty wasy except for its tp move which almost killed the thf a few times. i would cast blizzard III for about 500 dmg then thf would sa dancing edge for around another 500. after a few rounds of that he went down and we did not get the drop. definitely dissapointed because i heard the drop rate was supposed to be fairly good.
ill report next kill as we plan on getting it next time it pops.

i hate this guy.. i remember camping this guy forever. claimed once but. reinforcements came too late >< so i died. running into zone. and some JP took it >< so sad.. so sadd. >< but i have a kraken now ^^

server maint = go camp your nms. went out as soon as maint was over window closed then 15 mins later wind happens, have me 68 thf 75 war/nin 2x 75 rdm and a 75 brd bust its *** and got drop, and this was first time i have ever camped it so im 1/1. Now all i need to do is get another lvl with my thf and ill be rocking it with my harpe till i get my blau. GL camping

The ultimate offhand DPS weapon for a thief. Fast and strong, with a 100% proc rate. I'm all about speed, 71 still offhanding a hornet needle, i know the dmg is crap, and if im fighting something harder i'll sub hand a misericorde. Not coming from personal experience but i think for THF solo Sirocco/hornet is a great combo, of course your WS and melee dmg wont be as strong as using a weapon with more DMG like a Harpe, but your speedy DPS will greatly make up for it. I know i said its the ultimate offhand weapon, but man a Ridill would be nice too lol.

best combo in game is blau dolch (its latent is open when under 100 tp and adds accuracy+5 attack+16 dmg 33), best off-hand is sirroco. speed means nothing if you dont hit hard

WOOT server maint means log out at your nm. had me on my 68 thf a 75 war/nin 2x 75 rdm a 75 whm and a 75 brd sat through whole window the 15 mins aftr window closed it was wind so we knew it was up, kicked its *** got drop, 1/1 so i guess im lucky today now i cant wait to use it

Got this today on Hades Server. Party of 3 camping for probably about 3 hours. Just about to leave when wind weather popped up. Threw on a tonko and ran out there he was. Pulled it back there was 75 Nin/War 74 Whm/Nin and me 75 Thf/Nin. The Ninja dropped after about 45 seconds due to triple attack spamming. So i soloed tank as the Whm tried to get Mp back. Not one of its regular attacks hit me. Triple Attack took my shadows down twice. Had to P.Dodge when WHM was out and I had to move to raise the Nin. All in all it was a fun fight. BTW got the Kukri ^^

Yeah... damage helps... its nice to have low delay weapons like this and hornetsneedle, but building 100TP while your SC partner has 40TP isnt going to do you any good... and then you pop shark bite for a whopping 300 DMG... its not good to have a low damage low delay weapon.

Sirocco/hornet combo would be more of a farming/fun combo, rather then exp combo.
Unless you're in a spamburn, which is what the majority of endgame PT's are. I'm feelin your msg tho.

In which case you'd want a decent DMG dagger to actually do respectable damage.

Dagger update {Please check it.}
Even after the update, which made this dagger quite a bit more powerful (26 damage), you'd NEVER want to use this in most TP burn parties. The wind damage will heal any Puks you fight.

I'm just thinking ahead for thf equipment and im not sure weither this or Garuda's dagger would be better to sub. keeping in mind im a taru 7 att is always welcome and theres also the agi on garuda's but this has a lower delay, a couple more DMG, and the wind damage. Anyone have any input?
Edit: I already have garuda's dagger by the way so thats a plus, i would have to get this kukri if i wanted to use it.

This is much better than Garuda's Dagger, period. Just get your attack from somewhere else. DOT is much higher from this thing because of increased base damage, delay, and wind damage. Extra TP gain is crucial excellent, and you'll find that if you do have more TP over 100%, it's not a waste because your WS's will be more modified.
If you don't want or can't get this dagger, your best bet is to purchase a Misericorde+1 (which is clearly better than Garuda's) if the Misericorde NQ is not good enough for you. But that dagger is a little expensive.

It is in my theory that the damage of this dagger, and the cesti of the same nature, are stronger whn you face thier namesakes direction.
Sicorro is a Southlry wind. If you face north, your dagger is stronger. If you face south, you get weakest damage.
More tests need to be done though

Lol, comparing this to the mandau is improper. This is only meant to be mainhanded in only one specific case. Mainhand weapons should be in separate categories than offhand weapons. You can only sub this thing due to its low damage. It's DOT is nice, but you can't mainhand it as a /nin or a /war, as your spark damage will be severely compromised. Better to stick with a Harpe or, if you can get it, a blau dolch, which is certainly crazier than this, though this is good.

actaully this is tied with prolly a half dozen other daggers for lowest delay dagger. if you don't count ammo delay (is there ammo delay? i think there is) there's a bow that's faster. but out of all the daggers with 150 delay, im' pretty sure this has the most damage on it.
ammo delay is your reload speed, the time it takes to be able to shoot again, the bow delay is how long it takes you to fire whence you draw and aim.

Yeah, I've camped LL next to a RNG with a Loxley... Basically, LL spawned... I naturally drew my crossbow out, RNG pulls out bow and shoots in less than a second... Loxley is ********** But for Melee, I think this is the best dagger with the lowest delay, very much worth the fight.
VERY nice kukri. Too bad MNK is my main or getting this little beauty would be on my priority list. (My list is currently getting O.Kotes and Jujitsu Gi without having to pay for em [I.E. camp the NMs for them])
