I was on my way todo the the quest called Squires test II, anyways so i see this ??? so as the curiouse human i am i click on it and i see that its hittin for 30-40 as am i btw i'm a 41 mnk so i just my 2hr Focus, food, berserk, etc i ownd it with still 1/2 hp and i got 61 exp ^^ so i guess its lvl 39 or 40 not sure but i doubt its lvl 44-48, oh yeah not a single drop :s

Went on DRG/THF on many attempts and am 0/19 on this. Can't imagine why SE hates me so much. Guess I'll keep trying til I get it though. Not a whole lot a drg can use in the ammo slot anyhow.

Spawn locations for the ??? are as follows: F-4 on the map with the main entrance; G-8 near the Stalactite Dew; the north-east corner of I-11, on the map with the Strange Apparatus.

I hunted this NM today for only two hours and went 1/4 with my BLM62/WHM31. First fight I found the NM to be pretty tough, he messed me up a little, but I killed him with no drop. By the third fight, I had an "Impossible To Guage" strategy;
1) Bind
2) Blind
3) Elemental Seal > Paralyze
4) Slow
5) FireIII
6) AeroIII
7) WaterIII
8) Bind
9) FireIII
10) BlizzardII
11) Attacked with an Earth Staff for the Damage Taken -20% and killed him in a couple blows. Got drop fourth kill! Yay! =P

I got this guy after getting my last piece of RSE. I checked all the spawn points and it was at the last one (I-11) where I found him. Got the drop too, first time fighting him and it was easy as RDM60/BLM30. He didn't even drop my stoneskin. He hits fast, but I took care of that with a slow. Did the regular buffs, Stoneskin, Phalanx, Enthunder, Refresh and Haste. I didn't use a weapon skill, because it's rumored somewhere to affect drops (I don't know if that's true or not, but I don't take chances with NM's). I was also the first one to claim him, as I got to the cave as soon as my RSE window opened, (Male Hume). I don't know if that has anything to do with it either, but a ls bud of mine came in and he got the next claim and got no drop as SAM/THF with Treasure hunter. Since this thing gives me +1 Int, I may sell my morion tathlum, but I haven't decided yet since it looks a lot cooler than than a seed bag ><. Anyways, good luck on this NM, and you won't have to worry about any competition for me if you're on Kujata.

Soloed easily by PLD 51/War25. Took about 300 damage out of about 700. Oddly enough, I got my Balm Sachet on the first attempt.

you will never belive this...i killed this (70mnk subing blm for warp >.>) didnt get my Sachet i got a crappy Carbuncle's Ruby no joke im like wtf...anyway i smoked it with like 10-20 hits and a dragon kick (had a litte tpbefore the fight)anyway good luck with your sachet thingie lol and if you lookin for the smn quest kill this guy :P

I went during my RSE week and went 1/3 on it without TH2. Everytime it popped at F-4 (5 straight times) i got it 3 times because i was killing Stroper Chymes in between spawns. Anyways as 74WHM/BLM easy kill. And i proudly sport my Sachet on many different jobs.
I accidentally popped it near the pld flag quest room while looking for the chest during my rse.
Thought I was gonna be dead starting the fight with only 82mp, but it wasn't too bad...other than getting no drop.
20 exp as a 52pld.

But yes, it does have 3 pops. Every 30 minutes after you kill it the "???" reappears.

Just like to add, I'm probably about 0/20 (or more >.>) on this and the Aroma Fly, sometimes with TH and sometimes not. I've spent days being the only person hunting/killing it every half hour and NOTHING. I'm ready to give up on it. ._.

Well i spawed it in ordells caves in the hall with the ledge that conects the marboldger map with the room for pld quest...i found the ??? right by the ledge... from my expeance you can only spawn this during your races RSE time at ordells caves...and only once per rse... i got it an hour into our rse lookd all over and counldnt find it agai
Edit as for strength its not much maybe 40-50 no speical flags...as a 75mnk/36thf took it with ease my asuran fists took over 7/8ths of its hp

The drop rate from the leech is awful, even with TH2 I'm 0/4 on it, and it's heavily camped on Carbuncle. There's a thread about these on KI somewhere, I'll try to have a look for it.
Edit: I found it, it has some useful info and some maps, so it's pretty handy. The location of point 3 in Ordelle's is wrong though, it should be halfway down the next bend, the middle right of F-4.

Its like the other 2 RSE NMS; spawns from a random ??? in the area. If Ordelle Caves is your RSE day, then the NM can pop and drop your races Sachet.
