I am rdm lvl 20 and using enthunder can kill even matches with about 100-200 hp left and no magic.Killed about 6 or so today but no worm drop.try again tmoz.

Holy ****!!! How the hell is a newb like me supposed to take these things out so I can get a sub quest. I mean even with a party it is hard as hell
You kill these things in a party while EXPing. A full party (6 people) around level 14+ can kill these things easily.
Also, note that the Fly TP move Cursed Sphere is water based, the proof of which is that BLU can learn it and it's a water elemental attack that bursts off Distortion and Reverberation.

We were fighting them last night as a pt of lvl13-14, and they're mean as hell at that level. I was on my WHM sub.

I was pting in dunes when this thing poped up.I had a party of 13MNK/6WAR<-me 13DRK/6WAR 13BLM/6WHM 14WHM/7RDM 14PLD/7WAR 14DRG/7WAR. Our puller (The Drk) pulled it and it killed 3 of our party members.. Now it was only me the Drk and the Blm... So i used 100 Fists The drk used Blood weapon and the Blm used Manafont. We tried and tried but it didnt die! Then a stupid WHM come and healed me cuz i had 30 hp left and the damselfly attacked him and he died then a lvl 75 BLM/37WHM come and casted cure III on me :) So i was fully healed but not the DRK so i voked and had like 70hp left then the drk used Slice and it died ;D It was really close! (It was only 188 exp)
I remember one day...I was in a party of newbies (not noobs, there's a difference) when we're at the right level to fight damselflies...I had no idea that they linked, and I pulled one. There was one nearby. it linked.
WHM: zone to selbina!

Me: I'm goin, I'm goin!
so I begin running my little WAR **** to selbina and we pass up some more flies on the way. They linked. I couldn't count how many there were, but there were at least 10 of them....
WHM: OMG I guess the hell they DO link!

Well, after that I was alot more careful about pulling these things.

I'm gonna have to go with a no one this one. They still con as EPs to a 30 WAR (At least some do).

Does anyone know what type of damage the Damselflies Area Nuke is? Is it Wind?
Cursed Sphere is Dark elemental, and the poison spray is water elemental

okay this spell is a poisoning thing i think and poison is water so id say its a water type thing

It makes a splash animation and sound... so it seems like water... although barwatera doesn't seem to help defense against it much.
Unsure...it could be Dark (it's called Cursed Sphere).
