That looks more like a rancor to me, more than that bomb thing. (the kind from star wars)
My 65-67 party last night were getting 350+ exp from these guys on chain 3.
my pt is 63-65 and this is what we got when we chain 4'ed this thing

Kirin = 90 Vrtra = 95 as EXP goes, this is just as high as aura statues, but http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v288/mtux00/toad.jpg shows some major exp off those things!

the lvl 95 dragon in kings tomb is by far the toughest mob in the game i don't think it is a nm either

Spartoi sorcerers in king ranperre's tomb can be level 82, so this isn't quite the highest level non nm in the game. Anyway, remember level 74 parties need exp mobs too.
Kirin is lv 90 and needs 3 alliances of 75 and switch members from outside.
Tiamat is higher lvl than kirin.

Heh Kirin only need 4 Parties maybe Tiamat needs like 3 Alliances. As for non NM Aura Statues are the highest level mob.
Not the words I'd choose, but yeah, that's pretty flippin' high. I guess you'd need a full party of L75's to take it?
Soloed by 75NIN/WAR ^^* 300EXP (killed 2 actually)

rougly a full alliance of 70-75 can take it down very easily, we got aggro from one of these when we went to kill the MOB for the Optical Hat, wasnt to hard, we weren't fully rested either.
