Whats the respawn time on this guy does anyone know?
Enkelandos can charm people and has a nice drop.

I'm a lvl 60 pld could his charm work on me if I was pling a party around that area, cause I dont want to go from a pl to a pk so I was just wondering >.>.

If you all are so interested in getting charmed go to Dynamis Sandy and if you are a frontline melee you will get charmed by one of the NM's. Btw its not too cool.... all of a sudden a Monk(me) turns and kills his partner (whm) and yay then hes gotta home point cuz i killed him. Also if you ARE looking to kill him at a lower level where you might need 2 ppl to kill him. Let him spawn his bat and DO NOT KILL IT. If he already has his pet he will not charm another. Oh and one more thing about that Dynamis, and many other, mob they don;t just cast charm, they cast CHARMGA so ALL of the melee or at least most of them turn on the mages. Imagine a group of 50-70 players. 40 of which at least are melee. Then these 40 turn on the 30 mages who are not necessarily expecting that. Sooo much death. It sux too cuz after that all the melee die because melee or mages cannot survive long on their own in Dynamis.
I was fighting him this morning on remora server, and soloed him like he was a little bunny rabbit in ronfaure as a 42 MNK/WAR. He used charm about 3/4 of the way through, but missed me, and a boost/berserk/raging fists shut him up after that. Drops were and Ice Crystal and Gigas Socks.
ok i was skillin up in delkfutt with my 42 drk and my 60 sam buddy. we found ourselves right where this guy pops, so we sat around shottin the breeze skillin on the two gigas that pop there. finally he pops and we go to work. he charms the sam not long into the fight, and the only indicator is my red health bar and a party message saying "wait"
lmao a lvl 60 sam can tear a 42 drk apart!! it was so awesome just to see it, it was well worth the xp loss. hes still feeling guilty as hell, especially since after he killed the ******* we didnt get the drop. we did get a giga necklace tho. w00t. >_>
death or not, this was FUN just to see that log

Okay, after reading this guy could charm players I just knew I had to give it a try. I went after him as a SMN57/BLM26. (My sub I use is WHM but subbed BLM as added precautions.) So I entered the tower and went up in search of Eurymedon. Followed the directions posted and found myself on the third floor in the room accessible via teleporter from the fourth. Two Gigas were already there so I made short work of them and waited. About two hours later and several gigas spawns later this big boy reared his ugly head. I promptly destroy the other Gigas before taking big boy on. He spawns his bat so I kill it first then nail him with Blind. He goes after me and repeatedly misses. I pull out the spells and keep hitting him with whatever I got.
Eventually I draw him near death and he's not once trying to Charm me. So I disengage and hit him with another Blind to keep claim incase someone came along. Fortunately nobody did. I wait and waited and he didn't once use Charm. So I use the teleporter to leave then instantly reenter. Eurymedon just sits there and I let his HP refill to full. Kill his bat and summon Carby to attack the gigas that in this time frame spawned. Carby beats it down and then I dismissed it while engaging Eurymedon. This time I just pure melee except for a Blind or two and a Bind just to get some distance for testing. Eventually he gets low again so I turn the other way. He keeps hitting me so often for 10-29 damage, I just heal myself with Healing Ruby then dismiss Carbuncle. In the end I turn around and deal the finishing blow and get Gigas Socks and Gigas Necklace. Not once did this guy use Familiar or even attempt to Charm me. At the start of the second battle I even let his bat he resummoned remain for a short time before destroying it.
My point here is maybe in one of the latest updates they fixed it so he no longer charms players. That or if he does you MUST have another party member present I guess for it to work. Either way I'm fairly disappointed I didn't get to witness an attempted Charm.

This is on the 10th floor of delkfutts tower. The drops suck but I guess it's funny to see other players get charmed.

ok so if it charms players i am a 50smn/25whm. lol could it charm my shiva and she will double slap my ***? she does over 900 damage each time that would kill me. >< is there any way to stop the charming?

I'd imagine his charm works like a BST's. So I don't think he could charm a player that is much higher than he is. I could be wrong, so don't quote me on it. ^^

I was taking my (lazy) friend on Rank 4 last night on my conquest to get his rank up (He was a rank 3 lv50 BRD...) and we took the wrong porter down to this guys room. So I engaged it, the bat started to get annoying so I had the BRD kill it as I killed this guy. All the while his friend was throwing big rocks at me... Killed NM for Socks and Necklace - Vorpal Blade on his buddy and that was that. Kinda dissapointed I got a 2k drop.

No Bnin your wrong...your thinking of Epialtes another NM gigas in the lower tower... Epialtes is a "warrior" gigas and Eurymedon is a "beastmaster." Just to make correction...
Well, many NM's have surprising Talents. Mobs and NM's aren't bound by the same rules as players. Many monsters can use spells that are way above their level if they were a player, and have assorted abilities.
yeah like level 5 orcs in west ron can use warcy...
I was trioing this guy for fun on Midgardsormr to find out how Charm worked. We were BLM, NIN and BRD (me). About halfway through the fight he used Familiar and immediately charmed the Ninja, who became pretty much a full-fledged enemy. She was unable to access her menus or do anything other than talk to us, she kept apologizing for kicking my ***.
Yes, charmed partymembers can be attacked. The BLM and I didn't go so far as to kill her, but we did keep her asleep until Charm wore off. Not sure on XP loss if you kill a charmed partymember (you likely still lose XP), and while she was awake she did nothing other than melee, though she wasn't awake often (as soon as I started taking damage the blm and I spam slept her).
Since it even locked her out of her menus I doubt that disconnecting even unconventionally would solve the problem. Since she was acting as a full enemy I presume her avatar became fully AI and after Charm wore off it was replaced with her real, player-controlled avatar (while she was charmed she was still there but in an invisible and unable to move viewing form). This means that if you were to force a disconnect by pulling the plug, your avatar would remain and continue to attack you because it doesn't need your connection to act. As soon as charm wore off your avatar would vanish. That's my theory anyway.
Can anyone disprove the forced disconnect theory?

I'm not positive where he spawns, exactly, but I took the lower teleport from the 4th floor, and was dragged to a room with just a teleport, and no way out other than the teleport.
Not sure if this is the place, but I'll camp it for a bit and see. And yes, it's F-9, which just so happens to be one sliver of a corner of a teleport room.

Yes beastmaster mobs can charm players, And if your in a party it can turn you on other players.

scary........very scary......... This would be very funny if a lvl 50 pally was fighting him and a maricle happened and he happened to control him...... and youu and your party was there and he aggroed your puller....... It'll be mass chaos a pt of 23-25 getting wiped out by their friend......

My party (party of mostly lv 25) was having fun one day and we decided to pull this bad boy for the fun of it. He was on the 1st floor (maybe someone pulled him down) and kicked our collective asses. It was still fun though, I would like to come back later and kill him for real someday.
