Mission Orders

The final confrontation awaits you within the Stellar Fulcrum...

Walkthrough

This mission involves a battle in Stellar Fulcrum. In order to enter the battle, someone with the key item Omnis Stone must check the entrance to the battle field. Other party members who want credit for the fight will also need to have a Omnis Stone. Anyone may assist in this fight, including people who do not have the expansion. Up to six members may participate. Check the door once for a cut scene, then again to enter the battlefield. Buffs will be removed upon entry, so buff inside. This is a 30 minute battle against the Seed Crystal. If you do not win, you will have to obtain a new Omnis Stone to try again.

Battle Details

The Seed Crystal will remain stationary through the entire battle. It does not have a front or back, so Sneak Attack does not work. The Seed Crystal is also resistant to most enfeebling spells, however, it is possible to Stun it.

The Seed Crystal uses the following:

  • Tier III AoE elemental magic

  • Draw In

  • Seed of Nihility - AoE damage (200 - 400 HP) and sets all job ability timers to anyone in range to maximum, including two-hour abilities
    • Does not effect Stratagems or Quick Draw.

  • Seed of Deference - AoE attack that inflicts Charm and Mandragora Costume effects

  • Seed of Deception - Spawns a Seed Thrall
    • Seed Thralls look like one of the party members
    • Have very low HP
    • Attacks whoever has hate

  • Seed of Judgement - AoE damage (700 - 1300 HP) with knock-back
    • Uses after HP is at 50%
    • Utsusemi will absorb damage from this attack, but will not prevent knock-back.
    • If the move is stunned, the Seed Crystal will just use it right after stun wears off

RDM/DRK... lmao give me a break

Rdm/Drk has its uses... and this fight is an example of where it could be useful. But please stop telling me when i ask to be a stunner that you NEED Rdm/Drk because Drk can't keep up with stunning the -ga spells. and its funny because the people who shout this are always something like COR, PUP or something else that isnt listed on the Alla-bible, but yet you tell me that I can't stun the crystal's -ga spells... I have done it twice now, never missed a -ga spell. Our party died because the Pld had to rest and was unable to keep hate. If it's because of refresh, that's understandable. But the lack of knowledge is agonizing. I have told these people who present this information to me that I have fought it before and have never missed a -ga spell... and get the auto translated Thanks for the offer... but I'll have to pass.. Because you are too stupid to make your own strategy and instead have to do what this site says because it's the 'best' way. Am I saying that Rdm/Drk Can't to it as good as me? Absolutely not! fast cast is a great ability and so is chainspell... But the fact is that a Drk that doesn't have his head up his Plastron is perfectly capable of stunning for this fight. Drk can play a very nice role in this fight.. fight off thralls, /ma "stun" <stnpc>, and when 100tp, time the seed moves and run in and guillotine... As long as ur not a moron and know how to play drk, this shouldnt be a problem. Unfortunately I'll never be able to confirm a victory in this method, because most of the elitists who make these parties seem to think that Drk cant keep up with stuns. and btw... if a Pld would actually depend on himself in this fight and not an outside refresh and buy a few items, it wouldnt be a problem, and drk could serve equally effective of a role in the fight as a rdm/drk would. But no, lets all continue to shout in whitegate "ACP "Ode to Life Bestowing" @5 Rdm/Drk <Can I have it>..." Grow a pair and try something new. I never hear the end of the whining on here that the game is too cookie cutter. Just remember its you guys who made it this way.

--Note... References to 'you' do not apply to every reader... Only the ones who fit this particular rant... This post was not designed to flame any pt setup, but was instead an anger driven inspiration to enlighten the world to the fact that there is more than one way to do this. I am not an elitist, but I know what Drk is and isn't capable of. And stunning giant crystal while fighting off thralls is something that is very easily done by a drk who isn't mentally handicapped...

If you don't like what I have written, I really don't care... I will not be back to defend my standing so please flame at will... Otherwise, if you are on Ragnarok and are tired of shouting for a RDM/DRK, plz send me a /tell I'll be happy to come along... Thank you for reading :)

As of today, still seeking successful party for completion on the Pandemonium server. I apologize for the fact that I only have 75 pup to bring to the table, but with /war and "curebot" I should at least be able to be a clone wrangler.

/tell Magicninja

Please help me finish this P.O.S. mission set?

So just tried this again last night. Was shouting for my own party and 5mins into it I was invited to one that only needed a RDM / DRK. So here’s the setup:

PLD / WAR
RNG / SAM
RNG / SAM
RDM / DRK
COR / ???
BRD / WHM

Again another failure. I get to the Stellar Fulcrum and the COR is ANON. So at this point I didn’t know what he was cause he had on a crafters apron and an ele-staff.

So I’m already here and figure what the hell, lets give it a shot. Zone in and the COR is still not geared. Only way I know he’s COR cause he’s now shooting dice.

So what, begin the fight. Things are looking ok but no one is killing the clones. I pop a few with magic while watching the say’s to stun –aga magic from the Crystals. At this point the tank is getting pissed cause no one is killing the adds.

Come on guys. Big *** Crystal is not going anywhere. Switch targets, kill add, switch back.

OK so just tried this yesterday with:

RDM / DRK (me)
PLD / ???
SAM / RNG
SMN / ???
SCH / ???
BLM / WHM

All I can say is fail, fail, fail, 20mins into it and we just didn’t do enough damage.

Please, please, go with the:

RDM / DRK – Stunner
WHM (RDM / SCH) - Healer

And 3 range attackers or SMN’s. RNG’s would be best for the Crystal has low evasion so (SAM – THF / RNG) would work.

And your Tank.

Leave the RDM to refresh and 2nd heal. RDM can also DIA or BIO the Crystal but the damn thing is highly magic resistant so nothing else would stick. RDM / DRK your pretty much stunning all –aga magic and refreshing.

DD’s do your thing from the platform and watch the agro so you don’t get drawn in. this is where having 4 SMN’s is golden. Unsummon pet, agro gone.

Tank – NIN – PLD sub RDM for a little magic resistance and low level spells for hate. JA’s will be unusable due to the AoE move the Crystal spams that reset all the timers.

They are easy to kill but they have the EXACT gear of the player they copy. My copy hit me and it must have had a Platinum Grip +1. It stunned me and had the same stun animation.

Not that it matters all that much to this fight, I just thought it was a little interesting.
