Sounds like i might enjoy this cutscene. Im dieing to fight the shadow lord, this just gives me more incentive to do so.

{Incredibly tough} Cutscene.
how can this be called a mission? it took me 5 hours to get to and beat shadow lord (party disbanded and left me solo, had to wait for back up) so i thought ZM's wld b hard then my mate tells me the 1st mission is this i cldnt stop laughing. well roll on mission 2 and 3 aswell ^_^
O poo I only have an hour left online and wanted to start some of these missions but I have still not fought the Shadow Lord for rank 6 even though I've been trying to get a party for it on Titan for weeks! Now I am definitely doing it tonight even if it kills me!

Have to be rak 6, dangit. I was already in Norg to get SAM and NIN at rank 3. oh well, i'll just have to go back later i guess ^-^.
Yeah I have to say it's "{Incredibly Stupid}++" that you can't even begin the Zilart missions till Rank 6 -_-
I'm close to halfway though Chains NOW... I mean... CMON! Hopefully they change this at some point. Especially considering most people have visited Norg at least 8 times before Rank 6 >.<

They can't let you do it any earlier... Mission one has cutscenes from mission 6 which would be very confusing if you did it while you were Rank 4.
You don't have to be rank 6 to get to Norg. You have to be rank 6 to do this mission and get the map. You can still unlock SAM and NIN so long as you can get to Kazham, and then find your way t' Norg.

well. i got the mission but i'm rank2 and i can't do more missions because this one is active. what can i do?
You can still do missions from your own country, because you've had this one since you started the game. Also this is in a different category if you look at missions in you menu.
so to complete ZM1. all i have to do is get rank 6 and enter norg?
For those of you wondering what the purpose of Zilart missions are, if nothing else, after ZM13, you can access the Sky and fight Gods (You have to be 70+ and need multiple alliances, but you can do it.

Damn..what a ****** who asked what the use was doing of zilart missions.
Sorry but damn, the game is for enjoyment. YOu can do the missions for fun and to get on with the story in the game, that's their use..lol.

Hehe, yes i have to agree with you there n.n It's like asking someone why they try to get 100% at any game that gauges how complete you get it- just for the fun and enjoyment that that accomplishment brings.
People forget, MMORPG or not, this is still a Final Fantasy game. Story makes up a large chunk of the overall gameplay experience.

I had to repeat this quest 4(!) times. My connection died 3 times during the cut scene, and since my physical "self" was within Norg, each time I logged on it would start the cutscene all over again.
Squeenix should really have some sort of "savepoint" so you don't have to see the cutscene over and over and over and over again.

The same thing happened to me!
I had a full alliance ready to tackle this boy (I heard you need one cause of the theatrical elements.)
Anyways my brother tripped over my ethernet cord so I got disconnected right after I used my last poison potion so I wouldn't fall asleep during the cutscene.
This has to be one of the toughest missions yet - if you're on Cerbeus /tell Snapper and we can get a group going.
I had a full alliance ready to tackle this boy (I heard you need one cause of the theatrical elements.)

OK even though you have been to Norg, you HAVE to goto norg AFTER you beat the shadowlord and attain Rank 6. You will then get a cutscene and some flashbacks dealing with the shadowlord battle you just fought. After the cutscene, you are given a map of norg.
EDIT:
Basically, the Zilart Missions are there for access to other areas in the game, as well as to expand the story after Rank 6. At Rank 6, that story line ends, and Zilart Misison 1 picks up where Rank 6 left off.
Also, post Rank 6, you are dealing with your now increasing your Rank with your home country (Rank 6-10). So most of these missions have to be done with people from your country.

umm i dont get what you mean there are more missions to follow the story line after rank6 that are not zilart missions so what do you mean by that the story line ends with rank6?
he means that rank 6 & up missions do not deal at all with the SL storyline, at the end of 5-2 it branches off to start the ZM missions. And/or you can get missions from your hometown and go deeper into the background of whichever country you happen to belong to.

I have been already at Norg (once) when i was doing the NIN quest with LS members.
So...if i've been already in Norg that means i already have the map....or do i need to be rank6?
