In-Game TextDescriptionWait 1 real life day after completing the quest Behind the Smile. Then talk to Enaremand (Third floor @ J-7, Tavnazian Safehold). Then talk to Chemioue @ (J-6) on the third floor of Tavnazian Safehold. You may need to talk to Chemioue twice. Go to 2nd map of Phominua Aqueducts and climb the ladder at (C-9) for a cutscene. You can do this solo if you have Sneak. Just watch out for true-sight Taurens. Be patient and they will move away from your path. Then go to Misareaux Coast, touch ??? at (I-6) in the river for key item Mire Incense. Then go West in the river to the waterfall at (F-4). Touch the ??? there for a cutscene and touch the ??? again to pop NM Alsha. Alsha will cast spells on you and on herself until about 1/4 HP, then she will suicide by casting fire 2 on herself. You have to get the killing blow. If she dies from her own spell you have to zone and try again (closest zone is a little North at Sacrarium, if you have access) After you successfully kill her, touch the ??? at (F-4) again for key item Better Humes and Mannequins magazine. Then talk to Fyi Chalmwoh (Mhaura G-8) to complete your quest. Reward: you can pose your mannequin

Soloed her as lvl60 Smn/blm with no problems. Just send in Carby till she starts bombing herself, then finish her up with a WS. I used Starburst-->Poison Nails (Compression) and finished up with Drain for the MB. Also if you don't land the finishing blow you DO NOT need to run all the way to the swirling vortex to zone (for those of us who don't have access to all areas in the Misareaux Coast) to reset the ???. I confirmed logging out and logging back in WILL reset the ??? for another fight. Have fun!
I found these last two quests very enjoyable. Slightly predictable, but very enjoyable. On a side note, everything done solo by me as a SMN75/WHM37. Trickiest part was obviously navigating the Aqueducts with only an online map (other than the whole gathering of manequinn parts).

Hey all. Did this last night as RDM70/BLM35. Piece of cake. Only thing that really hurt was her weapons skill. After that it was all downhill. I saved 300% TP for the end of the fight as she did her Fire II suicide and killed her in the end first time. I would also like to note that if you fail in getting the killin blow, the closest zone ( accessable to all ) is the Swirling Vortex that take you to Qufim Isle, or just head back to the Lufaise Meadows and zone back in. Bring a poison potion I almost had to repeat because she sleepga II'd me, and then started Fire IIing herself. Sabre got the last hit in so I still got credit ... though I had to wake up XD.

PLEASE not in the guide that you've got to talk with Chemioue 2 times befor heading into Phominua Aqueducts .. both times you'll get a cut sean .. i went in after only talking to her once and i did not get the cut sean at the ladder.
then figured you had to talk to her a second time for her to metion the wizard in the Phominua Aqueducts .. after second cut sean you will get the disired cut sean at (C-9)

Instead of waiting one real-life hour after the previous quest, you have to wait until the next real-life day, which starts at JP midnight (11pm EDT).
Also, the ??? for the Mire Incense is at the southeasternmost corner of the river in I-6.

My girlfriend just fought Alsha as her 75RDM.
First, it should be noted Alsha can do things like Stoneskin, so having Dispel in some form might be good.
She also will Cure you randomly during the fight. At about half her health, she will start spamming the hell out of Fire II on herself, over and over. A good strategy is to build TP (either on her or surrounding mobs) and save it until she starts nuking herself.
When she gets down to within a sliver of health, use your Weapon Skill and you should beat her easily.
After you take the Magazine to Fyi in Mhaura, she will charge you 1000g to change the pose. You can choose:
/sit
/hurray
/salute (Windurst)
/salute (Bastok)
/salute (San d'Oria)
/special order
It will actually show you the special order pose before you decide to commission her to make it. You can change it at any time by talking to her again.

I fought her as a Tarutaru L56 RDM/blm, and the only problem I had was the fish in the area (they were still EP and would aggro, so they had to be cleared first).
With the fish out of the way (which gave me some initial TP), I didn't have to do anything but survive a while (Stoneskin, Phalanx...no Utsusemi, which would have made it a lot easier).
She beats on you with a stick, and seems to have a few patterns she uses...generally she nukes (although not always with ancient magic she does like it, so watch out), then Cure3's whoever she hit (although if you do a good hate-grabber she will change targets).
I had her down to about 80% health (so it seems it's how many times she nukes you rather than her health), and she stopped nuking me (FYI, that Ancient Magic of hers -hurts- at that level), and went to Fire2 on herself.
Once she does that, either have a good, fast WS at 300%, or an ES+Drain or similar (what ever it is, make sure its fast), and hit her when she's one nuke away from death.
If you last long enough (only thing that was dangerous was a Tornado she popped me with, which blew what was left of my Stoneskin down, and dropped me to 20% health...Cure4 and re-skin, and I was fine) she will get with the suicide nukes...just watch out for that AM of hers...Stun attacks are -very- useful for that.
As a note though, my Enfeeble was capped, and even with ES and full equipment swaps (I tried more than once on her...stupid fish) Silence would -not- stick for me, so don't count on that working.
Also, if you get the kill (and you can have someone there curing you if you would like) don't wait, immediately grab the ??? for the cutscene, preferably before the body fades...my first try the fish turned the tide, so I brought "help" ... we dealt with her, then I helped with the fish that had respawned...when we caught our breaths, and I hit the ???, the fight started again forcing an evac, and I -had- gotten the yellow "you killed her" message.
So don't dilly-dally after killing her, get the cutscene immediately.
