Walking around looking for RSE spawn saw this guy just sitting there Burst II Freeze II hit him a few times he went down easy no drop though

Try doing a synth with 2 of these using an earth crystal. Toss in more +Earth and go to Cloister of Tremors and tell me your HQ rate.

This item is rare, meaning you can only posess one. Equipping 2 of these rings is impossible. Also, it gives earth DEFENSE. That's resistance against earth and not enhanced earth power. I fail to see how earth resistance is going to help you with earth crystal synthesis

Is this ring used in a high level recipe, or is it only useful for fighting titan?

The fight was pretty easy with my LV 45 RDM/WHM, and I was just wearing RSE, using my AF1, and electrum stuff. I didn't even need to convert on this guy. What's more is I accidently found him; I was actually just running around looking for Key droppers, helping my friend get RSE. Anyways I proud I solo'd it and moved on to killing more things :p
I quit my anger management class cause it started to piss me off.

wow i was really lucky...
staggered over that think as lvl 42 drg/whm, it hits me for around 70 (i only wear good locking cloth) and i wanted to zone, but the gate i run to was closed...
so i started fighting, 300 hp, only 50 mp
i just couldnt die, i would have dlvl
my wyvern did good curings, but than this thin draind my last 30 mp, hp down to 300, krause was at 1/2
i just used istand warp scroll and prepared to die... but even after 4 hits warp wasnt interupted, so i warped out and landed in jeuno with hp 1/717 and mp 0/164
never was that lucky...

How can anyone possible think this ring is good look at it, its poo on a stick.
By itself the ring might suck, but throw a Verve ring on the other finger, and you've got yourself +16 vs earth and only -3 CHR for penalties. Throw on some barstone and some +Earth earrings and you're takin no damage from Titan.

ok here's my story, i was lost and looking for mining spots without a map, i came to this room and saw this N.M. I paniced but i didn't attacked it because my H.P was low ( Level 52 )
While I was resting a Jelly aggroed me, wierd.while i was fighting the Jelly the N.M. disapeared. X.x oh well

Hmm... I can only suspect this ring is for avatar battles or something similar.
The avatars throw elemental based attacks that can hit as high as 1500 damage to an unshielded player. To block it, you need a bard and whitemage to spam bar-elements.
As a redmage, I can do 70+ defence with mine. With this ring and maybe an elemental charm, I could hit 100 earth defense easy.
If I was going to face titan, anything less than 100% will simply not do.
Im not entirely sure if thats what this ring is used for, or maybe some high level crafting ingredient we dont know about yet.

Just adding on, this might also be used for Maat fight from what I've heard. Equipping items like this before entering the fight would cause Maat to experience similar stat decreases since it is believed he starts with the same stats as yuo when you enter.

This sucker constantly spawns on J-9 on the entrance map. What I can't figure out is the Maldust Ring. +10 vs Earth is greatr and all (in fact, I have yet to see any item give +10 against a single elememt), but at the price of Vit drop?
Like most things in life, sometimes you can solo things that arn't too much lower a level than you. But things like Rams and Ghost need to be left alone until you are much higher. Don't fight this thing until your at least 50, or come with a full party of 35+.

I had a bad time today...
feeling really strong with my Pallie level 45 i went to Gusgen Mines with a buddy of mine(thief level 22+). i told my friend to stay outstide while i was looking for the mob who drop the key for the RSE armor, suddenly i keep going further and further into the cave, i started seeing ghost of children( =/ scary huh) anyway, i started slahing all this mobs, but my search for the key was getting boring. so i decided to walk around and check the area, i saw 3 paths guarded by bogys, but the doors were close. but my stupidity and my ego of a wannabe DRK/whm made me pull the lever down and take the farther right path... there was nobody on the area and it look pretty scary, i told my friend that there was nothing there and that i was gonna check the last chamber(but i did not listen to him when he told me to go back =(...
i checked the last chamber and i saw 3 ore eater worms(so as u can imagine, i slash the .... out of them), suddenly something called my attention, it was like a small lake or a pool at the end of the path...=/...=/...=(
ohh boy i saw this ghost(crushed krause) coming out of the water and started hitting me, i knew he was more than an easy pray for me, so i engaged him(sorry to disapoint all the pallies, but that son of gun was strong and he drained my mp as well =/)he lower my hp from 800 to 400 in a coule seconds, i used my abilities and my TP but i was not enough, so i decided to run away.
but the freaking mob was hitting me hard, i ran as fast as i could to the door where i came from....but guess what? the door was close and there was no way of getting back. So my last resort was my 2 HR invincible, but it was a failure, that NM also does teleport and with my 2 hr on, he killed me =(
.... i know really sad my story, but its true.
so please dont solo it, if ur a pallie level 45 ;)
