Now why would you want pple to think that the gobbie behind the planks sells beads? You need to recheck your facts, and quit misleading pple. He sells the colored chips during the hours of 11 to 22. Check your facts dude.

Hello all. I've never posted on an e-board, so forgive my newbiness.
Question: I'm a 51Blu/25Rdm, with a Dark Staff equipped.
Only thing is, Blu does not have the weapon skill for staves.
What I want to know is, as a Blu, what is the significance of being able
to use it if you can't lvl it up? Or, can you?

Honestly most mages use it for its +10 while healing. Only a BLM or RDM would use it in battle. And maybe a white but rarely.
MP recovered while healing/resting +10. Is the main reason everyone with MP uses this staff! Macro swap this item anytime you rest!

The prices of these plummeted to 50k on Phoenix, so I picked up a few with the intent of making a quick buck when the "new job rush" ended and their value started increasing again.
Trouble is, they've now crashed down to 20k. Did the ingredients to make them become incredibly common or something?
A similar tale is happening to Light Staffs, though they're only down to 50k so far.
What's most frustrating about all this is that Earth and Wind Staffs are still increasing in price. What the heck?!

i came on today to take a look at other peoples prices off the dark staff, about 100k to sometimes 200k but i go on my server today and i look at the price history at it was 15k. I have a lvl 45 pld so i thought ***** it tried 10k and i got it. So i got a fairly cheap darkstaff ^^

Guys be happy if this staff is 200-500k; I bought mine on Asura last night for 800k. Right when i hit Lv50, it jumped fromm 600k (was pretty bad already) to 800k. I think this is because Diabolos just came out...

im sorry but on Siren server the price jumps but the highest i have ever seen it was 150k... right now the dark staff goes for a big 89-90k the light staff goes for about 90-100k...i fell sorry for yall and you high prices

I bhought this as a 45ish RDM, knew I was gonna need it, now as a 56RDM I love it. As Eklipz said, even RDM can run out of MP, I also normally get only about 3-5 ticks between pulls, thats not much with everything i'm expected to do, if I didn't have this there would be no chance in hell for me to lvl. getting this staff is as important for all mages, as doing all the G quests is for everyone.

got my dark staff for 145k then the next day it jumped to 350k
got a liht staff for 60k sold it for 150k and bought it back 2 week later for 100k

You know what? Scratch the 460 It's 500 and I have a feeling is not going down any time soon. T.T

I don't no if this subject has been answered or not, but Im just curious as to the darks staff's hidden effect on debuffs. I know that it enhances dark type magic all round but if I were to try and slow a mob would the dark staff help or should I just keep my +5 MND items? Please respond input is good. ^^
Well, through my experience, the dark staff reduces the effect of Dia/DiaII, and the light staff increases the effects and also your curing ability. I still think this is worth it because I think it probably increases dark-based debuffs such as bio/bioII but I am yet to try it yet (blackmage only lvl 13)

And lets say the Drk has 120%TP after one battle. He change to this stuff to gain mp. Of course you know.... when someone changes weapon he resets his TP.... right?? And you know that also, no TP...no skillchain...no mb...no *************** exp right???

Ahh, but what if it's the end of a chain and he has no tp and no mp either. And he's in a party without an rdm or brd.
If at the lvl this can be equipped, you do not have a Rdm or Brd in your party, you must have a damn good healer.

any job with mp should consider one of these in my opinion even plds and drks. For any mage this staff is a must. A mage without this staff is alot like a pld without war sub.
