I use them yes naturally for more attack. But on Unicorn server they not worth the price really, because Bastok hardly has ANY regions (and I'm Bastokan). That makes that one necklace really good then, can't remember what it was called. Anyway, I use them but also have a macro to swap them out to higher Def gear (becuase I'm drg). If I get hate and keep all my atk and acc gear equipped, I get hit for nearly 400 each hit as my Def truly sucks.
ok, the normal Centurion Cuisses is about 25-30k, the Bastokon Cuisses I had got them for 12k recently, but this Republic is worth 200k!!!!!

I like this armor. I would recomend this armor for rngs. the +2 AGI is similar to the simpler formes of this armor. But as a rng, I wore Bastokian Cuissess until lvl 56, when i got my AF. The 1 point extra def might not be that big a deal in the beginning, but when you are lvl 50, wearing lvl 30sih armor, it kinda hurts when you get hit.
Actually, Since Noct gear is out, you might not care to use this all that much. You might get this armor along with the republican Greves and wear these both when you are leveling in an area that is under your nations control. That way you can get the best effects of them.

Using these instead of the Brais at lvl 34 is definitely a good idea. At lvl 30 yo get the genin earring, lvl 28 and 30 you get the archer/hawker knives. Ranged Accuracy doesn't seem like that big of a deal with the +20-24 you could be getting out of these, +2 from the doublet, and then the added agi from the hairpin/beret and the leaping boots if you got em.

They're a HQ Synth (Federation) of an Upgrade (Bastokan) from a Conquest Point (Centurion's Scale) item. :)
So AH or Bazaars only, unless you can synth them yourself.
