Japanese Midnight

The Unofficial Midnight of Vana'diel

With so much of FFXI's playerbase located in Japan, the Japanese midnight is often used in FFXI to mark the passing of time in quests and missions. For example, after completing the first portion of a mission, players must often wait until after the next Japanese midnight to continue progressing in that mission.

This table shows when the Japanese midnight occurs in each time zone:

NOTE: In the United States and Canada, Daylight Savings Time is generally observed from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November.
