Ive levelled a few jobs in valkurm, and ive never seen this thing around, but the pic is in valkurm, can anyone tell me where it spawns??
Saw one when I was skilling up clubs and staffs in VD in front of the Selbina gate near the sidewalk like things that's halfway covered in sand

Twice he came up on my wide scan in Valkrum while camping VE, I forget the actuall cordinate but find the VE cordinate and he should come back, hope I helped =)

BST level 23-24 can have a field day with these, just make sure there's nobody nearby when you take them down, and stay out of the blast radius.

i was a lvl 21 bst in valkum lvlin...lets just these are a bsts best freind...i sent i pet after it then a second one then it blew up and killed my pet and itself so i got full exp so i got a chain for 250 exp!^^ I've fought about 10 more since then. They all blew up with about 1/4 hp.

This guy also shows up very rare occassions in East Sarutabaruta and West Ronfaure.
My lvl 30 THF/ 15 WAR took him on no problem
If you look at the level spread, you'll see why some people have some difficulty with him, and others find him very easy.
i was grouping in valk as a 15 rdm, someone found one and called for help...10-15 people helped beat it down but it self destructed...more than half died (including myself), fairly amusing sight :)
For some reason this little guy was tough for me. my 30BLM/15WHM was able to take it, but all my spells did jack. Water II did something like 75 dmg. I dont know if this guy was just really resistant to magic, but I should have been able to f*** him up. He con'd easy prey, but that meant nothing.

As funny as it sounds... bombs have always been weak to fire, at least in previous games. Just look at bomb rings.
i thought in most previous FF's fire healed them...doubt it happens here but i'd rather not find out :)
they are weak to fire in this game, and in all the ff's ive played before this one, fire did heal them ^^
on this site some of the bomb classes are listed as "weak to fire" for some reason some arent... but if you follow the story of will-o youll know he isnt a bomb...

i encountered this during the ecowarrior quest from sandy. it's self destruct killed 15 of the people in my alliance (we were all lvl 18-20 cuz of the lvl cap).
second time we came across it, we killed it easily.

i killed this with 32 ninja/10 warrior...2/3 hp starting easy...self-destruct only did 22 DMG to me and i was only holding 1 katana he's not too hard
