Last night I got this when a friend of mine was going to synth a simple NQ Barone Corazza. The "Regen Effect" on the Conte Corazza is the same as the NQ at 2hp a tick. Not much real difference other then the rareness factor of Conte Corazza.
Anyone else notice that the hat looks good with this armor?
I'm hoping I can get this made for my DRG on Fairy probably won't happen but god I'll faint if I get a Conte piece. I think I'll be looking for a capped crafter for this little beauty ^^
war/drg? um not really what i think they were aiming for with this piece. Think Drg not War.
1. Drg has some inferior gear at 65+ so this was a step to helping us out, and war has much better options than any of teh Barone/Conte gear.
2. Drg/(whm,blm,rdm) can solo for exp and this body is especially useful, Regen to keep your HP up, Enmity to keep the mob off your Wyvern, Parrying to block some of those Attacks, Attack Bonus to deal more dmg and the Jump Tp bonus to get you to those pentas a wee bit faster.
No flames about how drg soloing is not productive, because it is. I make 1k exp an hour and make all the Gil i need for food and Equipment from the loot i get. Combined Exp and Farming time im making faster progress soloing than partying. 2.5 lvls down 12.5 to go.
I think SE is adding things like this to allow for odd job combinations like WAR/DRG. With a full set of this armor, you'd get plenty of enmity to tank, a lot of parrying skill to defend yourself, and extra TP from jumps.
Still... I don't think this would make a WAR/DRG as good as the more traditional combos.
Im not so sure about that. With jump and high jump plus a dragoons ATK bonus ability, coupled with the stat bonuses, war/drg is a feasible option, comparable to war/drk. Notice this is not meant for your traditional paladin/warrior.
also, who said that a plain old dragoon/warrior couldn't wear it? Thats not an odd combination at all.
Makes me wish i had a level 70 dragoon or warrior now.
I'm not so sure High Jump would be a good idea for a WAR/DRG. With the emnity bonus, they probably have tanking on their mind, but High Jump sheds some hate.
Easy way around this, that I learned tanking as War/Drg from 43-45 in Eastern Altepa Desert, Party Setup: Drg/War(DD/Tank), Blm/Whm (Spell DD), Whm/Blm, Whm/Blm.
Strategy: High Jump to shed hate and get cures, then Jump to build that hate back, usually saving TP so if both lands great, but if one misses you have a WS to throw in behind it.
High Jump sheds half hate, Jump gains back a full point(Assuming it lands), and a WS follow up...let's just say the BLM was happy I was a true Drg and knew how to manage my hate effectively.
