I was just wondering if this and the femina subligar are pretty much strictly desynth items, or do they have some hidden/latent effect to them? As fun as I'm sure they are to wear around, I can't really justify spending that much gil just for the defense and frills on my rear.
Well it seems that this can be used in a rather nice desynth. It is a level 99 Clothcraft synth, Lightning Crystal + this = 3 Cashmere Thread for an NQ, or 1 Shining Cloth for an HQ. (Cashmere Thread is the main expensive ingredient for Sha'ir Manteel, high-level BRD JSE and almost priceless, and Shining Cloth is main ingredient for Noble's Tunic, worth >10 mil on most servers) Funny that the NQ is worth more than the HQ. hehe. But of course, as is with all synthesis, there is a high chance of failure. And a failure means an 8 mil loss. Ouch.
Well, you have to take server prices into account. Personally, I'd take a shining cloth. Though I'd like to desynth one someday to thread for my static bard. >.>
Desynth is highly unreliable, like you said. >< Blowing up 8mil would HURT.
i have heard that once you get to a certain point in the CoP missions, the NPC merchants in Tavnazian Safehold will start selling these... for 9mil $_$
there are two of em: Vir(male only) and Femina(female only) dunno if there is anything special about them, other than looking like panties >_<
im stuck on CoP mission 2-3, but will find out for sure eventually XD

sapiens: (subs.) a wise man, philosopher. wise, judicious. senex: old, aged, old man. senis: old, aged, old man.
Take your pick, it all means "MAN" in one form or another. The word "vir" was probably chosen because our characters are "heroes" and "adventurers". But this way you can see just how many "man" entries are in Latin, I think there are more... I'm a bit rusty.
havent seen these yet, but the "Femina Subligar" (female only) really does look like a pair of white panties O_o whats next, japanese high-school outfits so our mithra can look like sailor moon? XD
if i'm not mistaken, beetle/bone subligar are the only subligar that have some sort of leg covering. as a male elvaan monk, i totally sympathise with subligar wearers, since at 50 i'm still wearing republic sub; but i guess it's the price you pay for stats!
