Recieved quest which is in my missions.
Talked to all 7 guards
Talked to Arawn quest does not complete.

arawn says "My dad says that in this city you can do anthing as long as you have money to pay for it"

can anyone help?

I've never ever heard of anyone getting an Iron Sword from this quest. Ever. Times a bajillion. Why would an iron ingot make this so? Unless...

Kid: "Thanks for the stamps! Oh look! An iron ingot! I like those! But I hate iron swords, so you can have mine!"

Back when I made wax swords for alchemy, I was hoping there was someone like that for wax swords and gil...

Man: "Boy, do I love wax swords! But I hate gil. So I'll give you 50,000 gil for each wax sword you give me! KSDFJDSKFSDFDSFLKJF."

I can dream.

Anyways, this is a good quest for anyone new to Bastok, since it lets you learn the layout of the city.

You must get all stamps then talk to him again. He will give you your leather gorget. If he does not talk you missed some. Retrace your self shouldn't take long.

so is it been confirmed that in order to acquire "Iron Sword" as the reward for this quest you need "Iron Ingot" in possession?!

I also can't finish this quest. I have all the stamps and have talked to the kid. =/

Deadly Spider G-8 (2nd level of the Depot)
Tall Mountain J-7 (Next to Alchemist Guild, guarding off limits area)

Metalworks -
Romualdo K-9 (Southern Cannonry, near President's Office)
Elayne G-8 (Stand between the elevators and face east, go down stairs to the temple)

Port Bastok -
Ehrhard G-5 (Standing on the northeast corner outside of Warehouse #1)
Latifa J-8 (Just north of the Drawbridge)

Reward: Leather Gorget

Items Required: None (Note - there is no silver ingot needed for this quest, that's for a different quest!)

Related Quest: The Elvaan Goldsmith is "not" related to this quest and she "does" want a silver ingot for her second quest.

This stupid quest does work fine, and if you have no ingots to speak of in your inventory you get that lousy gorget garbage... that much is for sure and that works without incidence.

THIS ***** couldve told us we needed a iron indgot to get the sword...
but noooooooooooooooooooo, he didnt....
is this quest repeatable?!!?

I finish this with Silver Ingot on, but still no sword.

ive completed it, i think having the silver ignot, reason being is becuse when i completed it i had no such item in possesion, in possesion will grant you the gift of iron sword, that is after youv'e completed it. tall is in the same zone as deadly spider. he is behind a armorsmith i believe. there is a flight of stairs leading downward behind teh smith. that stair way will lead to a long hall way, allie, go down the allie pressing tap auto locating nearest npc and you should find him near the end.

Well you have missed a guard then. And Tall mountain is in the area bellow the tavern and knick nack shop in the mines district the slums area
