Go to San D'oria, then to the auction counter. There you can get apple pies+1 and Melon pies+1 for 2k and 3k gil. So if any of you want cheap Int. this is the place to do it. I know so cause I'm a lvl 17BLM and I've read all the horror stories and I put them up there for all of my fellow Mages. Plus I need the money...so if any of you would like to make a donation to me the name is Bigredd, and my home is in Sandy. Any donation would be appreciated.

If you want to get possible HQ results, try crafting on the day that your crystal is weak to; in this case, Fire Crystals are weak on Watersday. Last night I was crafting these at Cooking level 44-46, still under the cap, but on Watersday. Out of 26 synths with Advanced Image Support, I had only 2 breaks, and 2 HQ results! Your results may vary, but try it on the weak day!
Level 81 will yield approximately a 25% HQ rate. From my experience, Apple pies HQ a little easier than most other food though.
The rule of thumb for crafting in vana'diel is:
31 levels above cap: 25% HQ
51 levels above cap: 50% HQ

The apple pie gives +25 max MP, +3 INT and -1 AGI...and lasts for 30 mins...
The apple pie +1 gives +25 MP (MAYBE +30, not sure), +4 INT, and 0 AGI penalty....and the best part is that it lasts an hour.

Actually, the best part of apple pies +1 is the extra 2 MP you get per tick while resting.^^

Apple Pie will give you an extra 25 Mp and add 3 to your Intelegence. What does Apple Pie with an extra 1 do? It is way more gil so before I much on this pie, I wanna know what the MP boost is.
