Everyone probably already knows but-

Solid Mail is the HQ result of Scale Mail synthesis.

have a feeling that it's the +1 of Scale Mail, ie: that there's a small chance that people making Scale Mail will make this instead.

it looks exactly the same, and has the same inventory icon. same as the Lizard/Fine armour set.

Where does it come from?

I've seen it in auctions....but where do people get it? A shop?

Solid armor looks 100% exactly like scale. Probably should wait until you get to lvl 15 rather than spend a ton of money going from scale to solid at lvl 13. Unless you have the money to blow ;)

It's kind of hard to find in auctions.. Do a price history and see who is selling it, they will likely be able to make another set for you.

Can you guys really not read? Or are you just to lazy to? You have to MAKE it, otherwise look in the AH. Think about it...

Check the date on that post. The American release on the PC of FFXI wasn't much before that. The information listed wouldn't have been as complete as it is when you post a year later.
