As far as I've seen I got this and 3 jacknifes while clamming and my bucket didn't break so I went to the clamming lady and she tells me she'll upgrade my bucket for 100gil. It might be cuz I just dug this up or I went over the limit and my bucket didn't break, but its the only time I got one and only time she offered.
NPCed for 183 gil per rock on Midgardsormr. I get these mining in Old Mov all the time and usually drop them. I was curious to see what they would NPC at, and was surprised at how high it was compared the the extremly low amount an Npc woud give you for ores (not that I would recommend NPCing ores).

Its worthless might as well npc this stuff
Bugbear Watchman in Newton Movalpolis also drops it.
Dropped off a Glacier Eater in Uleguerand Range
You can also get this by mining in Oldton and Newton Movapolos.
I found this rock clamming in Bikini Bay

I dug one up while clamming in Bibiki Bay but it broke the bottom of my bucket and I lost everything inside it.
