This is a sword made of bronze that looks Turkish in origin, as it is also sold in Aht Urhgan Whitegate. It is one of the two choices that adventurers can make when they're ready to upgrade their bronze sword.
First, +1 items. You can get +1 results even when gaining skill from a synth, all be it very rare. Day of the week and moon have more to do with HQ/+1 results than being 5 levels over the cap.
Second, Desynth. You can desynth items you are currently crafting and getting skill ups from. It is best to be very close to the cap, or higher, but is not required for success. Again, the day of the week (lightning preferably, dark for HQ desynth) makes more of a difference. You can even get a skill up from the desynth as long as you are under cap for the item. All be it a rare occurance. Desynth always has a higher than normal chance to fail, even if you are 20 levels above the cap. Best idea if you are trying to desynth a lot of items is to get the Desynth moghancement. Doesn't help success rate, but can prevent a lot of items from being lost with failure. Lightning crystals are cheap compared to silver ingots.
Now some questions.
1. I can buy these in Bastok for 680 (roughly) and they use 2 brass ingots and 1 silver ingot to create. What are the desynth results? I am guessing.
Desynth = Brass Ingot? HQ1 = 2 Brass Ingot (I got this last night)? HQ2 = 1 Silver Inogt? HQ3 = 1 Silver Ingot?
Without failures I could make a profit with just 2 Brass Ingot results, and I am just wondering if Silver Ingot is possible.
From What Ive Heard From Crafters Your Craft Skill needs to be 2x the lvl of the minimum required lvls to be able to get a +1 item but it is still not common.
just to clarify, HQs are NOT 2x the level cap. HQs are possible EVEN during skill-ups, and usually HQ a lot 32 skills AFTER the skill cap. This is my belief and also from . That's a link for moon phase and days of the week affecting HQs.
There's also another useful post, [link=null][/link], it's basically a chart.
When you have a high enough crafting skill, there is a small chance (Larger as you move further away from the trivial skill of the combination) that you will have a critical success, which results in the +1 versions of all of the crafted weapons and armor that you will see on this site.
