wait....how is this better than dark staff? dark staff has +10 MP regen while healing, and is available at lvl 51...
1. It's a status symbol. "I was there when Bastok ranked 1st!" Ofcourse, most people are already at Sandy or Windy mission 5 by the time Bastok hits first place...
2. You can combine this with an Astral Shield (as mention earlier) for more MP. Also, it'll only take you 1 tick longer to med to full. That's including the extra MP by the shield, and the 3 MP per tick less.

I use this as my main weapon as a blm coupled with the astral shield (the -30 hp from the shield and the +30 of this wand even eachother out) and it greatly reduces downtime. I was in a prty today with four blm's all at level 71 and I always had the most MP from resting before a battle.

actually each nation has a cool caster weapon: San D'oria has the Reserve Captain's Mace, Windurst has the Master Caster's Pole, and Bastok gets this. they are all almost the same, they have hp +20 or 30 and Mp while healing +6 or 8
