WalkthroughSwitchstix in Castle Zvahl Baileys can upgrade degraded weapons if you bring him the things he wants. The first upgrade will require: Fee: Lungo-Nango Jadeshell x4 The Relic Lance is a drop from Dynamis - San d'Oria. The Lancewood Lumber is crafted from a Lancewood Log, which is either dropped in Dynamis or bought from the Goblin in Castle Oztroja for 9 Lungo-Nango Jadeshells. Trade all four items and payment in Jadeshells to Switchstix and he will upgrade it to a Hotspur Lance. You will need to wait one game day. The second upgrade will require:
Fee: One Hundred Byne Bill x16 He will upgrade the Hotspur Lance to the Dynamis Lance. This will take about 1 week Earth time. The third upgrade will require: Fee: Montiont Silverpiece x61 The Attestation drops from the notorious monster Dagourmarche in Dynamis - Beaucedine. Trade these two items to Switchstix and he will make upgrade it to the Gae Assail. The Gae Assail will allow you to use the special weapon skill Geirskogul, but only in Dynamis areas. The fourth upgrade will require: Fee: Rimilala Stripeshell x1 The Stellar Fragment drops off the mob Animated Spear in Dynamis - Xarcabard. Trade the Gae Assail, the fragment, the Necropsyche, and the currency to the blank space at (G-6) in Ru'Aun Gardens to receive a cutscene, your Gungnir, and 30 Lungo-Nango Jadeshells. Fashion Shot

stage 2 is the only byne bill stage.
Stage 1 is windy currency, 4 X 100 windy's!
stage 2 is bastok currency, 16 X 100 Bastok's!
stage 3 is sandy currency, 61 X 100 sandy's!
stage 4 goes back to windy currency, so you need a 10,000 windy bill.
i so want this lance, lucky im in a good shell that sells the currency back to its members just to cover the cost of the run, so some times 1 byne bill may only cost 3000 gil,
so far im 300/400 for first upgrade, but now reading about the last 2 up grades i dunno if i will ever be able to complete this with out my ls actuallying going out of there way to find these mobs that drop

R. Goldpiece is the sandy 10,000 currency piece, not windy. Windy 10,000 peice is Stripeshell

From what i understand on the data i've acquired the 3rd upgrade is 6,100 Sandy Dynamis money's or 61 X 100's.
and the Final upgrade requires 10,000 Windurst Currency or a R. Goldpiece which is the windurst version of 10,000 currency piece.

So, what is the point of 1 Byne Bills then? Or am I just imagining it exists? I could of sworn I've seen it though. >.>; So if I'm not imagining things what are they any good for if you need 100 Byne Bills for the upgrades? Can you trade 100 1s for a 100?

does anyone know exactly how the last 2 upgrades work. i heard it requires no currency at all and that the final upgrade is running around for cutscenes. also, i have never heard of dynamis-zhavls...

So we got a person who is bring Gilsellers into Dynamis on Cait sith named Ryudo. They are trying to sell currency for 50k per single unit and 5mil per 100 unit. Well I guess Relic weapons will become harder to get if you plan on buying currency from these FOOLS.

Yeah, I've read this somewhere too Tec, but again, rumors ^_^;;. We'll just have to wait till someone decides to test it out, and post the info.

I don't think this is true. On KI, Stanislaw posted screens of the upgrade info (In Japanese, but he kindly translated it all) and for the Scyth, which as we all know is a 2 hander, the price was only 10k. I think as well, screens were put of the upgraded Relic Bow price, and it was also 10k. But then again, not all weapons have been upgraded that far, so who knows, maybe the price differs for different types of weapons too.
A lot of speculation from me is all ^_^
