Description

The Talacca Cove was once a busy port of the Kingdom of Ephramad. However, the kingdom was wiped out by the Empire of Aht Urhgan, and now little remains of the bustling life that once transpired here.

Adventurers seek out the Talacca Cove in search of glory and powerful notorious monsters. This is one of the rare corners of Vana'diel where, for the most part, adventurers can wander without running into roaming monsters.

I was helping a friend with the COR quest, and I decided to fish. When I did, I heard the monster fishing theme which confused me, since there are no mobs here. Turns out I got an Istvrit, a fishy used for the Nashmau soup quest.

Also, upon further fishing, I fished up:

A Giant Orobon (NM),
a Wootzshell (crab),
A Lahama (blue/white Kraken),
and an Arrapago Leech.

There are no mobs to be found at all in here! If you're looking to complete the Corsair quest, heading to the west as soon as you've entered is a ??? on a pile of rocks near a tunnel that will bring up a cutscene involving the Forgotten hexagun.

Head west, and touch the Stone slab and you're complete.

Other than that, Talacca Cove was a nice break from having to constantly be Invisible and Sneaked ;) The water is neat as well, with the sunken ships.
