It doesn't require those levels, it caps at those levels; you will get skill raises up to 45 woodworking and 29 alchemy by making this item. The minimum required to attempt is about 10 levels below, for each craft. If you try at those levels, you will be lucky to succeed 5% of the time with advanced support.

It's listed here several times, but I'll repeat it too, you want parchment from Materials > Leathercrafting for the bard flag quest.

why is parchment so costly when you can only use it in a few recipes, and the flute isn't worth it to make and the picclo is on the border of not making, just why is this between 900-1100 for one parchment when its not that useful.

The BRD job pays up around 5000 gil when you unlock it. You need a parchment to get it done. Draw your own conclusions.

traded a parchment to the song rune in Buburimu Peninsula and got a "Poetic Parchment" (for the Bard's Quest. But is this "ex" item useful for anything else?

Yes, I am confused about the parchment also. Is there a difference between the "Parchment" and the "Bast Parchment"? This reminds me of the mulsum quest, where you had to get "5 pots of honey" but the actual name of what the bees dropped was differrent. PLease help.

Ive seen these in the guild shops too. Much cheaper at 900 than up to 1500 ive seen in the AH. May be worth a trip to San D for all aspiring Bards to check out a bargain.

You buy the Bast Parchment in Norg (tenshido) so yes there is a difference
