Wow just saw +1 Version
# Apr 06 2006 at 12:01 PM Rating: Decent
I just saw Sorcerer's Sabot's +1 on a 75blm on Odin named Airybreeze. Only visible difference is you have to be 75 to wear them and its +2 int and -3 emnity.

He told me a version -1 drops in dynamis-qufim then he had to have them formed. I'm guessing the guy in Sandy that does Zenith gear etc.

I dunno bout most, but i think that these are way better for standard equip than Rostrum Pumps. Maybe that is cause I just got em today. Woohoo!!!

Its a close one. R Pumps does give 1 more INT and the MND doesnt really matter but also 12 more MP. But with RDM sub I would say R pumps may be better in a party that was chaining mobs fast. You have to be able to get up and MB fast then R Pumps would be better. The conserve MP+5 must be nice so these are deffinetly better than r pumps for a WHM sub. All depends on your personal preference.

I have neither of them yet, working on both atm, so i'm just speculating. I'm guessing here that even in the case you're chaining fast, sorcerer's will be better, since you'll want that conserve MP to proc very often so you can have your MP for longer chains. Looking at them only, w/o having tried any of them myself, i think Rostrum is only better if you're soloing or duoing in the new areas (with rdm sub, as you said). For any 6/6 pt set up, sorcerer's seem to be best.
what idiots

You say the hume and mithra RSE boots are better... you miss out on like 2 INT... big whoop. These have Conserve MP +5... thats friggin awsome compared to the ****** RSE boots

They look like AF boots, but the color is much smoother (and darker). Lets just say that the AF looks like clothing you pulled out of the dumpster when AF2 looks like designer.
Do you use it

These are the best feet for BLM in game, hands down. Zenith set sucks for BLM other than the mitts.

Yes, you should, and I do use these primarily.

yes i use it primarly since it's the only foot piece other than zenith that i know of that gives INT+2. and the mp you save with this is better than that extra bit you get from wearing zenith.
that and enmity-1 means my zenith is rotting away in my MH.. pity you can't sell them back ^^;

The depth to what "Conserve MP +5" means:

1 in 4 spells will use roughly half MP or less, from what I was told by a 74 BLM wearing them.

He proceeded to head outside and show me:
Normal cost of Water: 13 MP.

BLM casts Water for 8 MP.
BLM casts Water for 12 MP.
BLM casts Water for 2 MP.
BLM casts Water for 13 MP.
BLM casts Water for 13 MP.
BLM casts Water for 6 MP.
BLM casts Water for 13 MP.

Now, it doesn't seem like it saves a lot, but consider the 130+ MP spells at that lvl, and it begins to add up...
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 14 2004 at 10:15 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) 125 spells in the BLM/WHM ******* at level 74. 126 if you are at 75 ^^

I hate to point this out... but,

he means how much the spells cost, mp-wise, to cast. Not how many spells one has at level 74.

And I was pointing out exactly how many spells we have that could benefit from the +5 to CM.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You made a stupid reply and now you're trying to cover up for it.

how tough are the mobs that drop this set. Do you have to be at an extremely high lvl to fight them?
RE: ............
# Feb 16 2005 at 6:32 PM Rating: Decent
Well, you have to be at least 65 to enter dynamis and most groups don't let those under 70 lot on AF2 unless there are no others that can wear it.. if that tells you anything. =)
Can you ..
# May 12 2004 at 4:17 AM Rating: Decent
can u keep these equipped outside of dynamis?

# May 12 2004 at 12:36 PM Rating: Default
yup, they're just like the original AF armor, except you dont have to quest for them.
Not too shabby.

Yeah, this isn't too bad, although I'd rather get my Elemental Magic skill up or something.

This is part of the BLM Relic armor set (AKA AFII). No idea how to get them, but my guess is Dynamis.
