Accessed by trading a Perpetual Hourglass to a "Trail Marking". Dynamis - San d'Oria is a gloomy, alternate reality of Southern San d'Oria. Dynamis Orcs rule this place, along with living, Orcish stone statues called "Tombstones." Like the other Dynmais areas, there are some NM's in here. Enemies are all about L75 or higher and attack in brute force, but they drop unique stuff including Relic armor.

1 Gil for Used Hourglass

If you see somebody with an hourglass advertised for 1 gil in bazaar, don't buy it, it's used. You might mention it to the person as he/she may have forgotten to take out of the bazaar. Why do people do this?

Standard practice in Dynamis: once you use the hourglass to enter Dynamis, you immediately put your hourglass in bazaar for 1 gil. This applies to everyone entering Dynamis in the alliance.

Rationale: Recall that if your hourglass is removed from your person while in Dynamis, you are kicked out. As a result, at the end of an hour plus of tough play, there inevitably will be people that go AFK, and unfortunately this happens too often just as time is winding down and lots have not dropped because the AFK person has not bid/passed on items.

Resolution of problem: Dynamis leader spends 1 gil and buys hourglass from person that has not bid/passed, kicks them out of Dynamis, and voila! Items now drop to bidder, hopefully before time expires.

Now you know...
what are yall talking about

1) yes once a dynamis hourglass is used it is worthless

2) Under 70 you can probably bet on dying 9-10 times.

3 To the post saying "You Might need 45+ people for Xcabard", No duh, dynamis lord is no joke and alot of the pulls here are risky. 4) To the bard that couldnt sleep the Tombstone, dont worry Statues can't be slept... or In 4 years never seen one slept.

It would be very rare, borderline suicidal, to bring a 65 pld into dynamis. All melees 70+ and all mages 65 is how to do it if you are damn good. For your party's sake, i hope they don't invite a lvl 65 pld into dynamis.

My Dynamis LS Just beat Dynamis-Sandoria today with exactly 29 people, Level ranges from 66-75(mostly 70's, about 8 75's and about 6 66's). We were all under the impression, however, that upon beating the Mega Boss for ANY Dynamis Area we would get an time extension. Can anyone give me some info on that?

DUH! the whole point of the game for SE is to make money. Otherwise thay wouldn't maintain the servers. The longer a person plays the game the more money SE makes. People will play longer with more challengeing areas and quests. Personally I don't see this as a bad thing. I like the game and want to play it for as long as possible.
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 02 2005 at 3:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) So we got a person who is bring Gilsellers into Dynamis on Cait sith named Ryudo. They are trying to sell currency for 50k per single unit and 5mil per 100 unit. Well I guess Relic weapons will become harder to get if you plan on buying currency from these FOOLS.

When I Ding'd 65 I joined my first HNM/sky LS . I got rank 10 with some random people and some people in the HNM/sky helped me get Sky.
I get a tell from leader if I wanted to do Dynamis. I was happy to join ( all this high lvl stuff is NEW to me).
Party was just LS, and 2 peps couldn't enter and we almost had a Full alliance (14/18). From what I hear is you need like 30+ to do this, but we did ok (most peps who did that run were newbs to Dynamis). I am a bard and we are Rare ;p so I had no Pre-technical details, so I made it up as I went. Exiting Mog house was rough, MNK types tore up a lotta peps, and the newer fighters didnt do the /assist "name" macros like they where told so there were multi uneeded fights going on. But once outta the mog house area the group started to work better.
The Tatic I ended up using was keep stoneskin/blink up x2 Ballad elegy whenever, NO requiem, Finale, and SLEEP lots. I couldnt sleep the statue Orc so I just elegy'd it and let melee deal with it. Me and a RDM started to keep on crowd control, that helped the melee big time. We picked up more peps as time went on and got 18/18 people. We got about 1/2 to the AH when time ran out. I didnt get much, Gold beastcoin + ordelle coin >.<;
I imagine if we did have more people the Cost to enter would be really cheap (55k that time) and winning would be no problem ( x2 12 member pts). Well like I said first time doin this, maybe takes a ton of people when you get closer to the boss.

The music is the same music as in Castle Zhavl Keep, I think the music is called Shadowlord or something. Not the music where you fight the shadowlord himself (Awakening), but that's in Dynamis-Xarcabard.

•Dynamis-San d'oria•
Map 1: http://dca.eleventeenth.com/assets/images/s/san_54_13.jpg

Green line: Path for puller only
Pink line: Group and puller's path

Time extensions:
Time-extension statues haven't been pinpointed.
West ninja NM is worth 30 minutes.

Statue TP attack:
Area damage + stun
Paralysis

Trigger NMs and Boss:
Wyrmgnasher Bjakdek and Reapertongue Gadgquok must be defeated for Overlord's Tombstone to appear.

Even though the nearby statues roam a bit far from the East and West Ronfaure exits, pulling them will likely cause a large link with the trigger NMs.

Two statues repop at the fountain near the start point when each trigger NM dies. These need to be cleared before pulling the boss. Reapertongue Gadgquok's death also causes three statues to repop in K-9. Therefore, pull him to K-8 to prevent repops from aggroing. They will still need to be cleared in order to pull the boss, though. When both triggers are cleared, the boss will seem to appear alone. It will summon an army when it aggros, however, so a sacrifice puller needs to attack it and then aggro all the summoned monsters..

The NMs' special TP ability is group charm. Isolating them from nearby links with sacrifice pulls makes the fight much more safe. There are a few ways to deal with the group charm attack. One is to have everyone in the area surround the monster and try to kill it before it can use its move. If it ends up doing group charm, everyone will be charmed and no one will be killed. This will waste a bit of time as people run around uncontrollably, and it is difficult to get everyone close enough. The second method is to have mages stand out of range with fenrir summoned and ready to Sleepga II and Lunar Roar dispel the charm. It is difficult to hit a moving group with lag, though. The third method is to have a paladin 2-hour and marathon the monster while rangers and mages nuke it. THe rest of the melee should stay away in K-6 to prevent charming. The boss, Overlord's Tombstone, will be pulled to the start point. After it is defeated, monsters will respawn throughout the area.

Despite what other sites say, it seems that lunar roar has "no effect" on charmed PCs.

A sacrifice pull is recommended for both trigger NMs. Sacrifice pullers may need to return to homepoint after dying away from the group. However, it might be possible to be in tractor range if you die inside the gates at K-9 or G-9.

Leave the monsters at the auction house, but pull carefully so you don't link them. Monsters at the tents near the auction house will have to be cleared.

I-8 has many summoners that will link.

Vanguard's Hecteyes can only be slept by bards. They use dispelga, which deblinks and eliminates one positive status effect, so rdm should silence them.

The statues in the southeast alley make thf and blm pop on the upper balcony.

The statue on the top floor of southeast J-9 gives MP refill.

Serjeant Tombstone - blm?
Warchief Tombstone - rdm

Once an hourglass is used it is USELESS. Its not dropped from a mob nor Quested its brought. From where I am not sure but I know it costs 1 mil. and you need Rank 6 <beating the Shadowlord> and you need to be atleast lvl 65 then you need to go to Xarcabard and you will get a cut scene then you need to go to a town and check the trail markings and then you will get another Cut scene and a Key item. Its called "Vial of shroud sand" or something along those lines. and going there at 65 is stupid the Mobs hit HARD. I am a pld and I get hit for over 300 dmg sometimes. OH and dont go there without atleast 50-64 people or there will be ALOT od deaths
RE: I hate that place
# Jun 15 2005 at 3:37 PM Rating: Decent
True, once you use an hourglass, you can pretty much drop it after the time has expired. But Dynamis San d'Oria is one of the easiest Dynamis's. If you arent over 73 I recommend just flat out NOT going in. But you do not need 50-64 people for this. You can easily beat Dynamis San d'Oria with one alliance of 18 75's. Really, the only Dynamis you MIGHT need 50-64 people in is Dynammis Xarcabard. Every other won can pretty much be done with 18-36.

You might want to take a look at the hourglass and what it says under it. If it says something like "unknown" or whatever it is I can't remember it's been used and is worthless. No way you got an unused hourglass for 1 gil XD

But who knows starbger things have happened ^^
man...
# Nov 21 2004 at 12:16 PM Rating: Default
if ur not 65+... dont ask where u get these from... dont worry.. u aldso need rank6 and a CS from xacabard to get into dynamis.... for the hourglass... cost 1mil and whoeva is gonna u divi the cost up.... 100eye bills also go for 500k, so if u get one, next dynamis run is only gonna cost u 500k.. if u get 2... damn ur allience is lucky

The loaddown on dynamis:
You MUST be level 65+

You buy the hourglasses (new) for 1 mill gil. You then you trade it to the Trailmarkings to start the timer, you duplicate the hourglass and pass them out to the people (64 max) that are doing. You start with 1 hour (or 2, hard to keep track) and you get time extentions for killing certen random critter in certen spots. Once timer is up everyone is kicked out and hourglass becomes worthless, and thrown away. The hourglasses people have in bazzars are worthless.

No password, just hourglass.

As for dynamis itself and whats in it:
All mobs have jobs and 2-hours, (dragoons have dragoon pets, smns have avitars). If everyone attack one mob at a time 2-hour is no prob (expt smn, ninja, mnk... that are killer).
There are "Rock" critters, slow moving and only blms can kill them.
There are 2 NMs, and 1 Boss mobs. (kil boss to beat dynamis) the 2 NMs in SanD have "Charmga" Just did this one, its all luck beating the NMs, first killed nearly everyone, second charmed with it almost dead and those who were not charmed finished it off.

Only go if you don't mind dieing, death WILL happen. Reason for doing dynamis? AF2, Relic weapon, make a little gil with the money/items, and its realy fun!

As for dificulty... Bastok > Jeuno > SanD > winderst > other 2 (easy -> hardest).

Oh, and everything is like black and white in dynamis.

San d'Oria > Jeuno and Bastok > WIndurst > Beaucedine > Xarcabard

San d'Oria is the easiest, even with Charmga. Most Dynamis LSs will start out with this one. Jeuno and Bastok are about the same, however Bastok may be easier (but also "larger"). Windust is most definitely the toughest of the starter Dynamis areas. (Starter areas... When you are eligible for Dynamis, you may participate in San d'Oria, Bastok, Windurst, or Bastok in any order. However you must complete ALL four of them in order to be eligible for Beaucedine. You must complete Beaucedine to be eligible for Xarcabard.)

RE: ?confusion

Perpetual Hourglasses do not send you into Dynamis directly, you have to trade them to Trail Markings that can be found in many areas. These will copy themselves unlimited amounts of time, when you use them.

One question i wanna ask about Dynamis since i have never been, is there a level required to go in / if i managed to get a hourglass could i just change to a low level job and just take a look around?
