Gold Beastcoin
i tried this recipe:
Tree Cuttings + Light Crystal + no Crystal
and only got 4 gold beast coins (out of 12 plants) when planting and harvesting on Lightsday, anyone else get better results on different days?
Please feel free to message me w/ better ideas cuz i'll need alot of these for my goldsmithing skillups.

You can also dig these up with a chocobo as well. You can dig them from Meriphataud Mountains; Rolanberry Fields; Sauromugue Champaign; and Tahrongi Canyon. Need to be a high level digger if you want to get them consistantly.

i just harvested two of these today from tree cuttings.
I've seen many THF/WHM invisble up and go behind the hobgob and steal gold coins without agroing them or turning them red to attack them. I don't know if this glich has been fixed. But you'd think the price would go down if the supply went up.
I was able to steal these off Sahagin's behind the gold coin door in Sea Serpent's Grotto as 69rdm/thf, got 3 in about 2 hours while me and a friend were camping Novv. Subbed steal seems to mostly only only work if you're a fair bit higher level than the mob. (Those sahagin's all conned ep-dc to me). Subbed steal may work on higher level mobs like IT, but i've never had any success, at least not since lvl 50.
Can also be stolen off orcs in Monastic Cavern and Davoi (on the upper part), quads in Qu'lun Dome and the nearby quads in Beadeaux, anticans in Quicksand Caves, tonberry's in Temple of Uggalepih, and as mentioned by someone else, yagudo's on 4F of Castle Oztroja. Basically if it's a beastman and it con's EP-EM/T to level 70, you can steal at least golds from it.

actually u can steal these off of the yags in the upper part of castle ostroja...and u don't have to worry bout dyin either..just steal then hide and u shouldn't do it unless u have atleast all af to be successful at stealing though
if you are feeling lucky, you can try to pop the gob archaeologist outside the crags. i've popped him about 5 times and always won. (sometimes tougher than others by A LOT) they drop between 3 and 5 gold coins per kill, you can mug for up to a few thousand, and they drop a few k gil too. i usually pop them by trading a stack of cheap earth crystals. that seems to work effectively!

Only time i've ever even seen a gold beastcoin was off a goblin archaeologist, and i didn't even get it cause my lots always suck XP

Tree Cutting, water crystal in a brass pot :P. I grew 3 gold beastcoins. But I am not sure excatly if that was the correct stuff needed.

even for my lvl i tried stealing gold but the steal rate was very low ><; and kinda hard to live while doing this .... i hope i will do it later.

I would recommend level 45-47 for partying there I think 50 may be a bit to high. We had a level 48 in our party by the time we ended and the exp went down a lot once they hit 48.

Like the above person said having a thief is essential. The party I was in got 2 drops in about 2 hrs of play with a thief in the party at yhoator jungle. You probably will not get a drop if you dont have a thief in the party.
ive done both BCNM40 in giddeus. ive done the stupid mandys 2wice and won one of them. there was no gold beastcoin drop. however, ive done the 5 monkeys 4 times now, and won the last 3. my 3 LS mates i did this with each got a gold beastcoin. we got one for each time we won.
