Battle NotesIn order to begin this quest you must first talk to Zebada at (F-12) in Uleguerand Range. He will give you a Rare/Ex item called a Cotton Pouch. Slide down at (E-9) and enter the cave at (F-8) and trade the Cotton Pouch to the Chamnaet Spring to get another Rare/Ex item called Chamnaet Ice. Go back to Zebada and trade it to him and he will give you the key item: Zephyr Fan. This is the item needed to enter the battle and everyone in the party must have it to participate. Head to Bearclaw Pinnacle and prepare to enter. When you are ready, choose the battle Follow the White Rabbit. There is no cap on this fight, you have 30 minutes to win, and a max of 6 people can enter the battlefield. This BCNM begins with one rabbit, Bearclaw Rabbit. After a few seconds (Melee usually ~80 TP) it spawns 5 additional rabbits called Bearclaw Leverets. All rabbits are immune to charm and lullaby and resistant to sleep (ES+Sleepga from RDM or BLM lasts a few mins tops, without Elemental Seal resist rates are very high). The main rabbit is immune to sleep as well. StrategiesWhen the Bearclaw Leverets are spawned, the Black Mage should immediately Elemental Seal + Sleepga II the leverets, then the Paladin can proceed to kite the Bearclaw Rabbit with Gravity & Bind from the Red Mage. Other melee move in and slaughter one of the Leverets at a time, each one having low HP (Build 100 TP, lvl3 Skillchain + Magic Burst is enough to kill one) When they wake up, the Red Mage then Elemental Seal + Sleepga II. If they wake up again, both mages should try to keep them slept as best as they can. One of the leverets is randomly keyed to despawn all the others, just pick one at random and move through them all (First time we got it on 3rd kill, the second time 1st kill, the third time 5th kill). When these rabbits are gone, the PLD should continue kiting until mages are at full MP, then stop and fight it like normal. This rabbit hits VERY hard and the Paladin will require a LOT of healing. Whirl Claws hits all within range for 400-600 damage, but can be stopped by shadows. Mages should stand back at the very limit of casting range to avoid this special attack. Melee should use accuracy food, as the Bearclaw Rabbit has VERY high evasion. In addition to the normal rabbit weapon skills (Foot Kick, Whirl Claws) he also uses a Blink skill and an HP recovery (1000-1300 HP recovered). Very weak to spells, but Black Mage should nuke slowly because the Paladin has a very hard time holding hate with taking so much damage. Red Mage should focus on support healing, as this rabbit hits VERY hard. Once the Bearclaw Rabbit falls, go open the chest and receive a reward and 2,500 experience points.
