Summary

A mysterious character living on Purgonorgo Isle in Bibiki Bay insists that the island belongs to him. Chipmy-Popmy wants you to participate in the next "debate" over ownership, set to take place in the center of the island.

Walkthrough

After talking to Chipmy-Popmy, you need to go to the Manaclipper in Bibiki Bay. The clipper does three tours. You want the tour that goes out to Purgonorgo Isle (there is enough time between tours to buy another ticket if you're fast). Once on the Isle follow the path to H-9 near the center of the isle. There is a ???. This will pop 6 Peerifools (Mandragora type mobs). Watch for linking from other mobs in the area. Once defeated, examine the ??? again for a cutscene and the key item "Deed to Purgonorgo Isle".

Go back to Chipmy-Popmy for another cutscene. Now you need to track down one of the Mithran Trackers in Attohwa Chasm. You will need to zone into Boneyard Gully. Attohwa Chasm, even with a map, is very confusing. Fortunately, most of the tunnels are one way or have very short dead-ends. Be careful. Mobs in the center of the map (chasm/mountain area) con TW to lvl 59). Mobs in the eastern part of the map con TW-EP (most EPs are in the lower South-East corner) to lvl 59. Mobs in the western part of the map con VT-IT+ to lvl 59. You need to go through all three areas to get to the Gully.

Enter Attohwa Chasm from the Maze of Shakhrami. Follow the path to the chasm. Cross the bridge (very important) and follow the path. At (H-10) there is a dead end. Head east from this point and it will take you into the lower level eastern side of the map. Follow the mountainside north to (I-8). There is a cave to take you back into the mountain/chasm area. Follow the path (there is another dead end shortly into the area, head south not west). The path winds in all directions and takes you all over the chasm.

At (G-7) there is another dead end, head north. You will cross three bridges before you get to the end. Be very careful once you see the tunnel exit because antlions come very close to the mountain. Use Sneak/Invisible and follow the mountain north. At (F-6), there is another tunnel entrance. Follow this tunnel and cross one bridge to the Boneyard Gully zone, in the eastern part of (G-6). Once you zone, you will have another cutscene.

After the cutscene, you receive the key item, Map of Attohwa Chasm. Return to Chipmy-Popmy for another cutscene and 1200 gil.

Cleared

Cleared easily as a 65PLD/WAR no real problems, cleared the area built TP and then slaughtered them. Finished about 50% HP and 50% MP, fun fight but as ever with PLD took an age!

Pwnd the mandies as a 70 rng using nothing but O-Bow,Bloody Bolts to 100TP then Darksteel for WS,Sole Sushi,War Brias<blaze spikes are pretty> and Emp pin for extra eva. I always kept my HP up through the fight since they hardly hit me and hit for 7-32 hp on me. The fight was over in 15 even with the Alrune aggro.

Incredibly Easy - Stoneskin/Ice Spikes/(Reraise) lol I wasn't sure what to expect.

Thundaga III -> Sleepga II -> Blizzaga III -> Sleega I - (Refreshed Stoneskin) - Firaga III -> Manafont -> Blizzaga III - Thundaga III Dead! and that was with 2 adds ^^

Each hit me for 3-5 and I am a Taru so I was amazed <(^.^)>

Great fight and allot of fun.

Easy though. Went in, killed the links so I start with 300 tp for Spirits Within. I brought up, Refresh, Haste, Enthunder, Shock Spikes and Phalanx and popped the mobs. Brought them into the tunnel and start hacking away at them. Used Spirits Within whenever I had 300 tp. Average hit with Phalanx up was between 1 and 0, so my HP never dropped below 900. I used 1 cure 2 just to have max hp for WS. Good fight and allot of fun. Very easy for anyone post 65 I'm guessing.
fun =)

Spawned them as 60RDM/BLM, a little nervous. I cleared the other mandies in the area first (just two) and led the Peeries to the tunnel. Kept enaero on my dagger, kept up haste, refresh, phalanx, stoneskin (here and there) and ice spikes (for the paralyze primarily, but they ended up taking away quite a bit of hp from the peeries) and just hacked away at one at a time, using my tp whenever it was available (usually Cyclone for the aoe, but be careful.. i ended up with an opo-opo smacking at me at one point. wasn't any trouble, but it was a little annoying). i just kept spells up and drained whenever recast was up to reclaim what little hp i lost from hits inbetween stoneskins. i converted once but didn't really need to; by the time i had killed three peeries i had about 1/3 mp and wanted a cushion just in case. thanks to ice spikes, the last two peeries were more than half dead by the time i got to them.

fun fight, actually =) i ended up attracting a couple of spectators, too, hehe.

Not too bad of a battle, just took a long time. Went as a 75WHM/BLM. Going as a /NIN would be pointless since you are fighting mandy mobs, not only one but 6 + links. Your shadows wouldn't last two seconds and you'd lose sleepga. I have capped enfeebling magic, so my sleepga never got resisted by any of the mandies, not even once. I was hitting them for 75-90 dmg most hits with most Hexa Strike's doing 750-900. Each one ate two Hexa's + the hits it took to get two Hexa's. I would guess their HP to be at least 2500 each, maybe closer to 3000.

I just kept shock spikes up(use ice or blaze too), haste, and stoneskin. Easy battle if you keep the others asleep a lot of the time. Took me about 15 min to kill them all though ><.

I suggest bringing a friend, just to speed the process up if nothing else.

As said previously, these mandies are a joke. Just soloed them as 67THF without using Utsusemi, and finished the fight with, literally, full HP. They have a decent amount of HP each, but were only hitting me 1/10 and were doing ~9-10dmg per hit. You don't need shadows, you don't need sleep bolts. All you need is some bloody bolts and you're good to go. They drain VERY well (60+ HP usually) so you don't even need to spam the bolts. Come prepared, clear the mandies for TP, and pull the NMs to the tunnel so they don't link when the native mandies respawn.

If you're gonna solo the mandies as a bst id suggest calling CC and then having CC attack all the mobs and then fight one yourself. that way CC will tank them all and you wont waste your stoneskin. i tried it w/ a clot and tanked them all myself at 1st, then realized that i could get the clot to tank them all if i had it fight each one, of course it takes a bit cuz fight has a downtime. but then my clot died... so id suggest using just CC so u dont have to kite them all in the middle of the fight again like i did. lol
and sub thf if you want to farm afterwards, i didnt get any drops w/ whm sub ; ;

Just did this as Whm64/Blm32, fully expecting to die
but looking forward to the challenge. Used normal XP gear, with the exception of Battle Staff and Life Belt. Killed the 2 Alraunes nearby for TP more than anything, knowing the length of the fight I knew clearing the area was futile, they respawn too quickly. Ate a Tavnazian Taco, Cast Prot 4, Aquaveil, Haste, Ice Spikes (less DoT than Blaze but added Para) and no Stoneskin (would be a waste of MP, 6 mandies trying to sleep you, one of them is gonna succeed ^^). Popped a yag drink and spawned them. Immediately I pulled them to the lip of the adjoining tunnel, out of link range. Used Earth Crusher for about 450 on all of them (170 staff level). Then sleepga, and concentrated on taking the first down. When the others awoke I immediately used Diaga for DoT. Used Earth Crusher whenever I got about 200 TP. Kept an eye on the Opo nearby, avoiding AoEs until it went away. Divine Seal + Cure III after the first time hitting red, knowing I'd get it back before the fight was over. Weeded them out one by one, using Sleepga whenever I needed to reset haste/spikes. Got down to the last one, was down to 1/3 MP with no refresh left. Used Divine Seal + Cure 3 one last time, then pounded my way to victory. Never got any adds due to my caution. Didn't have to use Benediction. Finished with 400 HP and 48 MP left. Btw I am Taru Whm, I was told I would die horribly during this fight. But again, I like a challenge. One of the most fun fights I've had since avatar solos. ^^

Please note that this quest itself in no way involves Tiamat. However, this mob is a level 95 HNM who is much harder than Kirin to defeat. You may run into this mob during the course of this quest as he spawns in the Attowa Chasm. Like most, if not all HNMs, it has True Sight, so don't get to close, or you will be drawn in an near instantly slaughtered.

This was a pretty simple fight as 75WHM/blm and really fun. I cleared the two lingering mandys and got my buffs up. I only used Ice Spikes, and Stone Skin along with Pro.4, and Shell4. I popped the mandys and waited for them to come down and used sleepga and just took them down one by one using Hexa Strike for WS. I also did it without any refresh of any sort so this fight is very much possible for WHM solo. :)

I've done this twice now, both times with a 60ish MNK and a 60ish WHM... you'll get beat on a lil bit, but so long as the WHM doesn't fall asleep you're A-Ok.
As MNK, I tried using Spinning Attack for AoE damage to the 6 Mandy NMs. What I found is that the damage didn't add up to much and it mostly just helped link the surrounding mobs. Using powerful weapon skills to take down individual mandies quicker is fine. The TP build from 6 mobs attacking you is pretty nice lol.
The Attowah Chasm is freakin huge so the map is very nice!! ^^

I just tried to solo this as 69 BST and got pretty much owned. My jug was doing good damage but the other 7 mandies were still hitting me enough to wear me down. My jug took 2 out while i was kiting them around but there wasn't much I could do in the end. Maybe if you went BST/NIN with lots of evasion gear, but I'm not going to buy all that stuff for a map quest lol. Bring a friend who can sleepga.

Easily soloable by BST if you have the sense to fight your pet against each mandy in turn so that they're hitting it and not you. >.>

Okay, fought them as 62rdm/blm, and man am I sorry I waited. Easily soloable by an rdm at 60; I'd rather have subbed warrior or dark knight. I tried sleepgaing them, but about half-way through I realized, everytime stoneskin when down, they were doing almost no damage. So the last four peerifools, I fought with Protect III, Phalanx, Haste, Enblizzard, and Refresh. I did Drain every now and then to restore the minimal amount of damage they'd done. Stoneskin actually inhibits this fight at this level, since it prevents you from being woken up, and they can still Sleep you all the way til the last mandy. It was definitely a lot of fun, and a learning experience, to solo this.
Sleep will get resisted gradually.

My observations on the 6 mandagora fight:

they will gradually start resisting Lullaby.

I fought them as 75 BRD, 1st Horde Lullaby kept them asleep for full duration 30+ seconds, 2nd a little less, 3rd a little less... and sooner than I expected they started to wake up immediately after Lullaby.

In the end, it didn't really matter, they couldn't hurt me, and if I did get hit, Paeon V + IV with the +1 instrument quickly recovered HP to full.

Was a long fight though, used dagger AoE WS many many times, and after the fight my Protect spell wore off, so it had taken nearly 30mins to kill them all.

lol, the NM fight was easy as a Level 66 PLD/RDM

Killed the surrounding Mandies then... buffed up, cast blaze spikes, phalax(sp), enfire, blink then rested for MP to full then spawned them. They couldn't even hurt me with Phalax(sp) up, only thing that hurt me at all was when my phalax(sp)went down and the mobs respawned and joined the fight even then that was only occasional 1 dmg and 20dmg crits which was rare. I'd say if i was 68 and had stoneskin they wouldn't of been able to hurt me at all O.o

Soloed this 75BLM/WHM today, rather sloppily I think. While the Peeris hit weakly, when all of them are beating on me they ate through my Stoneskin in just a few rounds, especially if the harder-hitting Alraunes add, which pretty much WILL happen. Also, the Peerifools have a good chunk of HP, I'd estimate about 2500 each. Thunder IV was hitting for a little over 1000 and only cutting them to about 60%. This drained my MP too fast and once the others started adding and throwing off the sleep timing, I couldn't recover enough between trying to keep them asleep and keeping Stoneskin up. Any BRD who's done BCNM40 can tell you why it's a BAD idea to sleep single wakes instead of waiting for the rest of the group. :) I ended up hitting Manafont and spamming -ga IIIs until it ran out, then kiting the two remaining Peeris and one Alraune with my Black Cloak on until I got up enough MP for a Sleepga, rested up MP for one last Blizzaga, and finishing them all off. Thank goodness for the Curse effect on my Igqira gloves. In case you ever wondered what that's REALLY good for, it isn't the minor drop in max HP on the mob, it's the minor Gravity effect for running the HELL away. :)

This would be IMMENSELY easier duoed, or at least come prepared with some juice. If you manage a miracle and get no Alraune adds, we're still talking about dishing out 12000+ damage, and that's a LOT of MP for a BLM, even for a Taru. ^_^;
...wow...

I just got done with this fight and it was INSANE.

lv 62 pld, finished fight with 1hp and 1mp.

Well I popped the mandies and went at it, killed 1, used cure 4, killed 2, cure 4 again. Now im in trouble. I eat a tavnazian taco and go back at it. The mandies do about 3 damage per hit, with the taco they do about 1. Then I got a link, the reg madies hit A LOT harder than the others, so go after them if they link. After about the 3rd one dead I decide to pop an X-potion. Then about 3/4 way through the fight my pro and shell wear off. Down to 2 NMs and get another link. When I was down to my last NM i throw up invincible and berserk and go at it. I finished him off with 1hp remaining.

My suggestion for plds, bring yagudo drinks and eat a taco to start up, the tacos lower their damage to 1 instead of 3. Also bring a potion just in case. It is doable but I was sweating it near the end. Good luck! ^^
lol.

Rofl...Those little Perifools are a joke.

I just went and fought these yesterday, my evasion is capped...all 8 popped jumped off their little rock and started to try...I say try and beat me. Hits were about 8-10...nothing when you have 1400+ hp XD

The general thing was...
The Perifool hits Koryu for 7 points of damage
Then it'd be spammed with
The Perifool misses Koryu...

They're very easy. I countered them a lot, they never countered, their sleeps never worked on me...all in all a very easy fight...

These guys are a joke, Just wore the evasion gear that I could from my Nin, took some Boody Bolts, equiped a second Axe and they missed me most of the time anyways. Kept my Hp almost full the whole time with bloody bolts and got my Cut Scene.

Good Luck
