Summary

A search has begun for information regarding the whereabouts of the missing Galkan elder, Werei. The president will brief you on the details of this mission.

Walkthrough

Receive the mission and head to the Metalworks to speak with the President of Bastok. Then head to Port Bastok and talk to Hilda in the Steaming Sheep.

Next is a six-person BCNM fight in Waughroon Shrine, which is located in Palborough Mines. Only adventurers who are on or have completed this mission can enter the BCNM. A trio of lvl 75 players with a sleeper can beat this fight with relative ease.

BCNM Details: You must kill four Quadav NMs. The recommended order for killing them is: #Sa'Nha Soulsaver (whm) #Da'Shu Knightslayer (rdm) #Go'Bha Slaughterer (drk) #Ku'Jhu Graniteskin (war) Sleepga the NMs and pull the whm first. Pull it away from the others so it doesn't wake them with benediction. Then kill the others in the order above.

After winning the fight, return to Bastok and report to the President to receive rank 8 and your gil reward. Then talk to Gumbah at J-7 in Bastok Mines. He's in the back room of the house on the upper walkway.

solo'd this last night as rdm/blm. no food, AF + DD gear, MP gear for convert.

constant sleepga and took them out one by one. no sleep resists, no stoneskin recast interruptions, nothing dangerous.

I also solo as 75 Galka rdm/blm (gilgamesh server) with no merits, no med used. Used a mensur epee and a mixed of DD and AF gears. I used meat and my ATT is ~330. I failed the 1st attempt as time expired with the last quadav at less than 3% HP. The mistake I did was resting for mp at the beginning after buff and run around too much in the fight (also that whm 2hr when it's less than 30% hp didn't help).

I won the 2nd try...took 26mins. Some notes about the fight for those who wanna solo:
1. Try to engage and kill as fast as possible. Time is important.
2. All of them can be silenced.
3. The order i killed was drk -> war -> rdm -> whm.
4. Since the whm and rdm will buff, dispel them to speed things up.
5. Since whm and rdm will cast when wake up, make sure that u stay close
to them so that your sleepga didn't miss one of them. If u did miss,
don't panic and just cast sleep2/sleep.
6. Keep bio2 and poison2 on the mob u r fighting.

Me(75 MNK/NIN) and my friend(75 RDM/BLM) Just kicked the crap out of this BCNM. went in, he Ele-sealed Sleepga'd them, I chi-blasted the WHM, pulled it away from the group(Since bene wakes up monsters). Two houred, wiped out the whm fairly quickly. Next was the RDM, who casted worthless spells as it's two hour(Aquaveil, Water, Stone II, Thunder II, and a few others that I don't remember). Then came the DRK who I was the most worried about because of how hard they can hit, but he only landed a blow twice between my shadows and Paralyze II. last of course was the Warrior who never landed a punch. All in All, this was a cake-walk, with me only falling in the yellow once, which was quickly remedied with a Chakra and a Cure III. They didn't resist friends Sleeps once, and I had no problem grabbing hate when I woke them up(usually had TP So I just Asuran Fisted them). 12 minutes total.

This Guide should be rated down because it missing an important step. When you come back and talk to the President, he tell you to deliver the letter to Werei. However, you suppose to take this letter to Gumba at Bastok Mines in J-8. If you don't do this, you can activate the next mission.

I just finished soloing this BCNM on my 75 BLM/RDM. It took me several tries b/c of mobs waking up too early and such, but on the winning run here's what i did. After buffing and resting, i started the battle off with a sleepga. I then spammed dispel on the WHM and RDM mobs to make sure they hadn't put shell up (After i few dispels i tossed my Sleepga II and an Aspir). I then started a Thundaga III -> sleepga -> sleepga II -> rest cycle, occasionally breaking on the Thundaga to get mp. The WHM used Benediction after my second Thundaga (any later and i would have run out of time) but i kept up the cycle. The last quadav fell and i won the BCNM with a clear time of 27 minutes and 33 seconds. Talk about cutting it close. ^^

P.S. Without gravity the WAR would have mangled me several times over, and without Dispel i would have run out of time due to Shellra, so I guess RDM sub is the way to go if you plan to attempt this.
And /hurray for not losing exp in city mission BCNMs anymore. ^^

just did this twice in a row. its a piece of cake :D

75blm, 71thf, 61thf, 75whm, 75drg, 74mnk

enter, buff, ES sleepga. drg tanks them in whm > rdm > drk > war order. blm keeps everything slept. win in 6 and a half minutes taking our time.

2nd time 75blm, ???rdm (i forget), 74sam, 75drg, 61thf, 75whm. same thing, completed a minute faster, again not rushing it.

key is obviously Sleep. keep it up and youre laughing

Broke the record on Ramuh by 1 min.

Not to be an ***, but records reset with maintenance and stuff, so they really mean jack. :/ I don't know why SE doesn't keep them permanent. Maybe to keep people from becoming too competitive and saying things like "Eat it" when they beat records. :P

On my first attempt at this BC, I ate dirt. It was really just a dry run to see what I was up against.

On my second attempt, I geared up for defense by eating a Tavnazian Taco and wearing defensive gear. I had the last Quadav at roughly 15% before time ran out. Who would've thought 30 minutes wouldn't be enough time?

It was on my third attempt that I was triumphant. This time around I ate a Red Curry to up my attack, slept to 300% for Spirits Within outside of the BC and just wore full AF. I brought a Vile Elixir, in case of emergency.

The order I went was RDM>WHM>WAR>DRK. Pretty much mages first, then melees.

I basically fully buffed myself outside the BC (the buffs will stay and you need as much time as possible to kill the quadavs in 30 minutes). Entered the BC, opened with sleepga, fully debuffed (paralyze, blind, slow, dia II, and poison II), aspired, drained, Spirits Within and just went to work on the RDM. I pretty much followed the same strategy for the rest of quadavs. Slept the rest of the quadavs as quickly as possible whenever they woke up.

I did use chainspell once (CS+drain and aspir is awesome) as well as use the Vile Elixir (Convert wasn't ready yet and I needed the MP) I had brought with me.

This was definitely one of my craziest endurance solos (before that was soloing WAR AF body). Next goal: lolgenbu.

1. go in and ES sleepga
2. have nin engage drk
3.sleep II mobs (make sure to keep order of which you sleeped them)
4.attck war or blm... make sure you do whm last... benediction wakes everyone up
5.pwnge the rest of the way

Also duo'd this as rdm with a nin friend. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but if the nin pulls the whm far away from the rest of them, benediction won't wake them all up. Doesn't really matter though, I think this bc was meant to be semi-challenging for a group of level 64-ish characters. Anyone 70+ is overkill.

I think I may have already posted this but it didnt show up but I would assume people attack the WHM first to elliminate the possibility of it buffing or healing other mobs in the BCNM.

People would more then likely attack the whm first to avoid the possibility of said whm healing any other mobs or buffing the other mobs. Just my veiw on it.

again, i tried to solo as rdm/nin.
opened w/ chainspell sleep1/2 of all mobs.
lame me though, i engaged soulslayer(whm) instead of my original plan of slaughterer(drk) first.
after dia wore on whm, i slept and attempted to fight drk.
from the dmg i was dealing and the rate at which the mobs were waking up, i knew i couldn't keep it up long enough so i ran away.
i don't think a rdm could solo it in the alotted time.

i don't get why ppl atk whm first; my order was
slaughterer(Drk) > graniteskin(War) > knightslayer(Rdm) > soulslayer(Whm)

they aren't pushovers, even with the mnk and war using their 2hrs, it took some time to take down the mobs.
had to resleep mobs 3 times and since blink tanking wasn't available they just straightup bloodtanked the mobs.
life and mp were low by the end of the fight.

have a good sleepr,
watch out for 2hrs, w/o shadows it gets annoying
stay focused.

not to difficult, each mob is stronger than the nm golems in the previous mission though,
so you have an idea of how itll be.

gl!(if a rdm solos this, pls post)

Just did this last night, set up was Pld,rng, blm, drk, whm, and one more, i was to sleepy to see who the last one was. But we killed them in the order it said on here, blm ran in and ES sleepaga II and they where out. We started on the whm first we got him down to about a quarter HP and he 2 hours, wakes them all up, blm sleepaga II agian, kill whm, start on the rdm,( I find when they 2 hour if you have it, stun them to cut down on lost HP) Killed RDM, then started on DRK, he went down really easy, just abosorb-vit and he drops quick. Then we finished off with the WAR. This was prolly one of the easiest BCNM's I have ever been in in my life. We had a great BLM and PLD, both knew what they where doing as did everyone else. But all in all, just run in there and keep them slept and you will win. But if you ever need help and you are on the carby server, hit me up. ^^ ~Winsor

Mission is easily duo'able by 75NIN/37WAR and 75BLM/37WHM.

After attempting to solo as 75BLM, I decided to change the kill order when we duo'ed it; and we did it as follows:

Go'Bha Slaughterer (DRK)
Ku'Jhu Granitskin (WAR)
Da'Shu Knightslayer (RDM)
Sa'Nha Soulsaver (WHM)

I know that you normally take out the healers first, but I noticed that the WHM would cast benediction and awake the rest of the quadav. So if we kept him slept we had no problems.

Fight went as follows:

- BLM sleepga II the mobs.
- Tank engages the DRK and immediately provokes another mob.
- Ensure tank provokes all other slept mobs when available.
- BLM enfeeb with frost, rasp, blind, etc.
- BLM sleepga mobs as necessary.
- BLM assist with moderate damage dealing.

Items:
75NIN - No additional besides normally used items.
75BLM - 3 Yagudo drinks.

Very fun fight. Thanks to Deathmage for helping me with this and many other events.

Just duo'd this with BRD/NIN (me) and my wife, Chalumueu, WHM/BLM. We initially used her ES+Sleepga for the initial sleep though it probably would've been better for her to go WHM/RDM and Dispel the many buffs the mobs use.

The DRK is not BRD sleepable which made us fail our first run as there were sleeping problems after I tried to take the WHM first. On our second run we remedied this.

We did DRK -> WHM -> RDM -> WAR. I went in with Mambo+March. Full enfeebles on the one I was sleeping. I just juggled keeping my own songs on and Horde Lullabying the rest which slept easily with both lullaby and sleep. She melee'd with staff for Spirit Taker which kept her MP up. If you do something similar your WHM might want to consider poison potions as being slept almost caused us some trouble when the RDM decided to 2hr.

First time i tried this we wiped cuz the blm didnt ES+ Sleepga.. they all woke pretty quick.. then on top of that the blm didnt have stoneskin up and was a taru.. so down he went.. and then with the rest of us.. Essentially this BCNM is a cakewalk as long as your blm keeps everything slept.. it doesnt even matter which order you fight.. this was my set up

75WHM << me
75NIN
70RNG
70BLM

even my normal sleep (without ES) suprisingly stuck so even the whm can help out with sleeps.

i had the nin pull the mob to the hallway while the blm sat at the hill and just kept sleeping the mobs.. super easy fight^^

Just finished this mission with my boyfriend.

75THF/37NIN
75WHM/37BLM

I kept the mobs slept and it stuck like a charm. He assisted me with sleep bolts. I have capped enfeebling, he has capped evasion. I think I only had to cure him 3 times (I took more damage than he did XD). I helped melee the last one after I had medded a bit of MP on the next to last. Very exhilarting fight! I didn't catch our time, but if I had to guess I'd say between 15-20 min.

You have to be Bastokan and on 7-2 or later missions to enter the BC.

If you have completed this specific BC as a Bastoker and then switched to Sandy or Windy, then yes, you should be able to assist. I've had other-city people assist on Windurst rank 10 who are not at present windurst citizens, but who were once rank 10 windurstians in the past. I myself have assisted on Windurst closed rank BC fights when I was a Sandorian citizen (I did rank 10 in Windurst before moving to Sandoria).

If you are rank 8 *only* in Sandoria, then that's all you are and you can NOT assist on anything but Rank 1-8 Sandy missions or the various other-city public (non-BC) missions. Ranks are specific to a city. You're not "Rank 8". You're "Rank 8 Sandoria" or "Rank 10 Windurst", etc..

I wouldn't count on it. I was assisting with a shadowlord fight recently (trying to push whole LS to sky). One of the members who came along was up to 5-1 windurst at the time (he had previoulsy gotten rank 10 in bastok). He was unable to enter the BC for SL, which made the fight a whole lot more fun as the guy left out was whm ~70 at the time, and nobody was subbing whm.

Shadow Lord (rank 5-2 fight for rank 6) is kinda unique. All cities share it. After you change, you likely kill your eligibility for SL assist because you are dropped into the "not ready for it yet" class because you specifically need that particular mission for yourself again, unlike say, the BC-10 fight for your previous city, which you won't need ever again.

Anyway, yes, I have actually assisted myself as other city (was Sandy and helped out on windy BC) and friend came and tanked Windy 10 BC for us when he was Bastok 2. We didn't know if it worked or not, tried it, it did. Spent a lot of the fight laughing about a rank 2 doing a rank 10 mission.

BTW, I finally decided to get Bastok 10 a few months ago. I haven't done a cross-city assist in ages -- last was probably about 3-4 months after dynamis release, looong before COP was even a rumor. So, it may have been patched since then in a general way or maybe only certain BCs permit cross-city assist; all the ones I've done or seen were Windurstian. I hadn't really thought about it before now, just assumed all cities were similar. Either way, sounds like it would be very wise to be prepared for cross-city to fail.

Interesting information about cross-city help -- I'll have to test it again to see for myself if it works still for non-shared BCs, particularly Windy rank 10, which I had helped on before when I was Sandy. I need to see it before I'll believe it doesn't work anymore.

No... My LS had gone to rank 10 in Windy, then we all moved to Sandoria, and then on to Bastok.
One LS member had lagged behind a bit in Sandy, and as rank 1-3 Bastokers, we all went back into the Sandy 9-2 BC with our LS mate.

I was quite worried and a little upset about the situation at first, because when we all switched nations before him, I thought it would exclude us from being able to do his 9-2 battle with him, but I was assured that we could, and we sure did.

We did this the other day on Seraph. Was cake. PT set-up was what was left over from 8-1. So I was kinda hesitant..PT was:

    WHM 66 (me)
    WHM 72
    WHM 75
    RDM 73
    BLM 64
    PLD 67 (Regeane)

The RDM kept them slept, the PLD pulled them as suggested. Everything went smooth. The 75 WHM melee'd and enfeebled. Me and the 72 WHM healed.
This was Regeanes second time doing it (she was helping me out) and this PT set-up went better than her first time, with a 'normal' party. Was awesome to have 3 WHMs =D

I just did this last night with NO Blm. Party set up was me=70Sam/Thf,63Nin/War,58Rdm/Blm,60Pld/War,
    68Rdm/Whm,68Rng/Nin...

    Our Strategy:
Sam & Nin take on SA'NHA(whm)...
    Rdm/Blm ES+Sleep DA'SHU(rdm)...
Pld & Rng take on GO'BHA(drk)...
Rdm/Whm Gravity and run around with KU'JHU(war)...

SO we go in buff up and we do our strategy... Right away I use my 2HR and did Gekko>Yukikaze>Gekko>Gekko which created Induration>>Fragmentation>>Distortion to SA'NHA(whm) and goes down in 15 secs... @ this point the Rdm/Blm wasn't able to put DA'SHU(rdm) to sleep so he used Gravity on him and ran around =P.
Nin ended up helping the Pld & Rng kill GO'BHA(drk) when he was suppose to voke the DA'SHU(rdm). It got pretty ugly here and everyone was dying. Eventually the Nin joined up with me in killing DA'SHU(rdm) and during this fight for some reason (I can't quite remember) Pld,Rng,Rdm dies =(.... so now there's just 3 of us and still 3 mobs to kill =/ ackkkk. Luckily Rng had reraise up and finally me,Nin,Rng took DA'SHU(rdm) down and when we got to GO'BHA(drk) he was almost dead.
At this point the Rdm & the Rng dies right when we killed GO'BHA(drk)...Now its just me with 310HP
& the Nin with 43HP left and still have 1 mob to kill which was KU'JHU(war) with full HP... I was thinking to myself, Man! we're gonna get RAPE!
So while me and Nin tried to take KU'JHU(war) down, the Rng rises up =)...and I was like WTF!... Rng had basically used 2 reraise scroll. Sad thing was that the Rng gets hate and dies again and KU'JHU(war) was only half dead and my HP had gone down to 123... I really lost hope at this point.. HAHAHA... But for some reason Miracle was on our side that night and me with 13HP left and Nin with 43HP left have finally beaten KU'JHU(war)...

T'was the night I felt the real meaning of VICTORY... =P Twas an AWESOME fight...
/salute everyone that did that fight with me and GOOD JOB! wOOt! \\{^<>}//
