Vana'diel Bestiary: Orcish Wallbreacher  

26MNK/13WAR, wandering around in Ghelsba, checking out my nifty map, and I started sniffing through some caves. Walk into the spawn area with Wallbreacher, and an unlucky guy named Casio sitting afk with Wallbreacher walking around. Popped a Voke, went through two attack rounds and a Combo that hit for 233. Easy kill, and an even easier drop!

1/20+ on this one, also with the other mob. went for 20k on Kujata a couple weeks ago, lantern shield sold for 80k.

I killed it once....got nothing....was really easy with my Lv.17WAR and a 17WHM as partymember...

I'm 0/5 on both of these guys :\

Last time I was camping I noticed that there was no spawn on Iceday. I dunno if that's normal or what, but it was definitely frustrating -_-;

is the area over camped? ive heard it is.

I was helping a friend level in Ghelsba (i was using my Drg he was using Rng). Anyway we wandered here (dumb i know >_<) and got trapped in by 2 grunts. We backed into the open area and what just happens to spawn? The wallbreacher. Sadly we could't fight it (being 2 level 8's) so we watched as 2 Wars made short work of both the grunts and the wallbreacher...if i had my Blm i would have killed it >_> damn karma

first time I killed these guys I wasn't even trying to camp them. Got my latern shield on my first kill of barricader, but so far I've killed wallbreacher 4 times and no luck

also I'm doing this currently with a lvl 18MNK/WAR and without using 2hr, so word of advice is, camp it till it drops ^^ it'll save you a bundle. and while you wait for it to spawn again, kill some of the EP going around. You'll get money, crystals and exp.

I HATE THIS ONE! still no damn drop.! 0-10, I had wanted this for my monk but gave up after a while and leveled mnk anyway.

on valefor there are always people camping it and the people are always rude and will lie to you about the amount of time since it last spawned.

they are in the river system in ghelsba.

This and the other is a nice easy camp with good drops rare though not many camp these guys from what Ive seen and its right in an enclosed area with no place holders its just a test of patience

I have experienced a very low drop rate on Orchish Barricader and Wallbreacher.

I am 0/15 on Walbreacher and 1/10 on Barricader with a Thf Sub (i.e. Treasure Hunter 1).

One of my friend camped him for 2 days, he got 1/11 on Walbreecher and 0/9 on Barricader. (He was Whm/thf without treasure Hunter). He got the Claws on his first kill then got nothing after.

Lantern Shield goes for [20k-26k] and
Strike Back.. for [28-33k] on Seraph.

Both sell well during J hours. (Don't try to sell the shield anywhere else than Jeuno's AH)

These mob are camped steady on Seraph by NA. players but to my surprise almost no J are camping it ... guess its not worthwhile after all :P

The only good point about these mobs are that a lvl 25 adventurer who knows what hes doing can easily rip them apart.

And yes, sometimes BOTH mobs are there.

The Orcish Wallbreacher, as with the Orcish Barricader, has a base spawn time of 60 minutes. Thanks to a change late last year, there is also a variance time of up to + 50%, or 30 minutes. I have spent 5 days here, 5-12 hours per day and they always spawn between 60 and 90 minutes. hope this helps.
