Bastore Bream
Only mithra being able to eat raw fish is not totaly true. Mithra are the only race that can eat raw fish without the aid or items.
The other day we killed a nm in sea serpents grotto that dropped a set of h2h weapons that enable any one to eat fish raw. Cant remember the nm or the name of the weapon but will add it when my mnk friend is on.

Hmm, jez caught 1 in West Sarutabaruta with Halcyon and Minnow at lvl 20... I was kind of suprised. It, along with the blutail which I was actually targeting, are rather tough to pull in... but considering its what... 66 lvls above me... not as hard as you'd think. It's a small fish as it only had "!", and I think I had a "Bad feeling about this one." Might be possible at 11 but very hard.

I believe this is a large fish. it caps at ~55 and you can catch them in port windy with a hume/composite fishing rod and a minnow. Or you can fish off the cliff in west sarutabaruta with the same rod and bait and catch them along with bluetail.
Actually its Bluetail that cap at 55, these fish cap at 86.

I had one break my Mithran Rod in West Sarutabaruta yesterday, but I didn't have the "!!!" and violent vibration that usually comes when you hook a large fish.

ok this is how it is i know for a fact that
Galkas can eatraw meat and anything else that is cooked
mithras eat raw fish and anything else that is cooked
tarus eat raw vegitables so i am told dont know that for a fact

I know I can eat wild onions, haven't tried any others. ate tham as a noob to save space.

Only mithra can eat fish raw galkas eat meat raw and all the other races need it cooked dressed and spiced on a plate^^.
BTW: Yes everyone sells it to the vendor cuz even if you sell it to an npc its still good money.

All other races eat everything else.
That doesn't mean that the first two can't eat Grapes.

I can't seem to sell this to the vendor. Anyone know why? Could it be lack of fame or me not being Windurstian? Thanks~

Ive found that generally means too many people have already sold to vendor. Kind of like you can only buy so many Items until Vendor runs out.
This is my best guess anyways, happened to me at Fishing guild, and I was able to turn them in next game day and sell em.

mithra are ~KITTIES~ Cats eat raw fish. NA ppl should have seen Tom&jerry cartoon. Galka are big MONKEYS/GORRILLA like thing... Thell eqat anything almost. Use a little common sense. KITTY eats fish. MONSTER LIKE APEISH MAJIG eats raw meat.

i set mine in the AH for about 3 weeks be4 selling it to the fishing place. seems no one wants this fish for much of anything but it dose sell good even to the fishing place

Uhm isnt it only mithra that can eat raw fish? my mithra eats raw fish all the time.

I don't understand. It says that the Bastore Bream will give you +4 Dex and -6 Mind; however you can't even use them. When ever I attempt to it tells me that I am are unable to eat it. Furthermore the only recipe that this fish is used in has an effect of -1 Dex.
