Mission OrdersCollect Overseer Makarim's report from the Zeruhn Mines, in the western section of the Bastok Mines District. Deliver said report to Sir Naji, a Musketeer stationed near the President's Office. WalkthroughSpeak with Cleades near the west gate in Bastok Markets or Argus by the gate to North Gustaberg in Port Bastok. Then head to the Zeruhn Mines and find the NPC Makarim at (H-11). Makarim asks you to deliver the report to Naji at the president's office in Metalworks. Upon completion of this you will receive rank 1-2. I can't find Naji in the MetalWorks area because a Galka won't let me in the Presidents Office, can anyone help?

It might be worth mentioning that if you open the report after getting it from Makarim, when you hand it in to Naji, Lucius will scold you and not compliment you. It doesn't affect your game at all, I wouldn't think, but still some people might care to know that.

okay i know where Makkrim or whoever his name is but where is Naji ???
the monsters in this cave are good for leveling up while you do this quest. just watch out for this one slime/blob thing that is hostile to you. at level 9 he still beat me up!! there seems to be only one instance of him and since everything else is not hostile, you could run through here at lvl 1.

Once you get to the "large open area", you will see an NPC named Smoke Breath (I-9). If you are facing him, and run diagonally to the right, you will find a cave entrance(H-9). Follow that back hugging the left wall. You will pass 2 openings to the right, then come to a fork - go right at the fork. Hug the left wall again and you will run in to Makarim.

The entrance the Zerhun Mines is at D7 in the Bastok Mines area. I did this mission at level 1. If you are being attacked by high level monsters or being asked to go shopping for meat jerky, you are pursuing a different mission or quest.

I read the note before I gave it to him and he told me to get a strip of beef jerky or something.. where do I get that?

I'm a level 7 and I can't seem to get passed the monsters, everytime I try to just pass by I get hit twice and it is over. Am I taking the wrong route or do u have to fight through, cuz if I have to fight the monsters, I can't win.

I think you have passed through the mines and into a higher level area, I did the same thing myself while looking around. The NPC you are looking for is left from the entrance, not across the bridge that leads into the higher level cave. You will pass a large open area in the caves, Makarim is in that general area. Hope that helps.

I did this quest at level 5. My blue bar for rank points or whatever they are called went up 1/3. but I'm still "Rank 1"
I dont think it gives you anything other than rank points. Whoever said it gives you a rank or anything, must have been close to a rank in the first place and this just put them over the top.

I did it at level 2, the blue bar on my rank meter went up nearly halfway but thats it... Im trying to finish the 2nd mission now.

I did this at Lvl 1 with ease but after i brought back the message and saw lucius i didnt get any upgrade or anything it just played a victory song and that was it :/ maybe ye can only get upgraded if your at lvl 4

I did this at level 2, I think. Maybe 3...but since I've done it and I still haven't gotten to 4...
